It represents Niels Bohr's 1913 model of an atom with the ball in the center as the atomic nucleus and rotating circles as the orbiting electrons. Science in motion in a beautifully simple mobile.

Q: Which kind of mobile is it?

The best. It's always moving, and if you have it near a light, it's endlessly entertaining. Unlike other mobiles, there is nothing dangling below to tempt young ones or pets. A great science lesson when people ask what it is. Niels Bohr was very underrated.

Q: Is the current length18" ? if I wanted to adjust that length - how would I do that? Thank you.

It's attached with a hangar on a string, you could just use a longer string or attach a longer srting to the hangar.

Q: The mobile fall and it is entangled. I cannot un tangle it! What to do? help?
