The back is finished but flat the details are only on one side. But it is flat so maybe you can order 2 sets and attach them together? I hope this helps.

What do these look like . The shiny nice wood in the reviews or the white mossy tint in main picture?

When I received them it was a nice shiny wood. However, they weathered very quickly and I have now painted them with an outdoor paint.
