Many great ways to play!
Got this little drone because I got the blaster from the same Faction brand and I never heard of a drone you can use for aiming practice! First time we charged it, we turned it on and toss it into the air as instructed. We were all pleasantly surprised that it started the propellers and floated in the general area it was launched. We spent a few minutes grabbing it and turning it off (by flipping it upside) or by letting it float in the air and physically pushing it around. At one point, we were tossing to see how high it goes (really high – I do not suggest doing this, as we didn’t have a way to get it down until it hit a tree, which caused it to tilt and re-adjust, and while it was dropping at one point, I caught it). We had a few dogs at our place and this drone got their attention right away! If I had more than one, I’d let the dogs have their fun (on a second though, probably not a good idea - it will probably end up being a one-time catch and bye-bye drone), but the dogs were so ready to attempt to snatch it out of the air or chase it down when we pushed it around. We had to recharged before we gave it another go with the app. Connected it with no issue and was messing with the options (and the dogs) before the batteries die again. It was until another day before we finally got to test this drone with the Faction blaster we originally got it to play with. It was fun to have a moving target! Especially so if you have others all vying for the same thing! Too much fun. 100% recommend this as you can enjoy this drone indoor without using it as a target!

Different twist on their older drones
One of the coolest things about this drone is that it flies on its own. You can just throw it up and it uses the built in tech to not only fly around and levitate, but it also knows how to maneuver around things in order not to crash. This is similar to their older drone technology that made it easier to play with. I prefer to play with the app so I can see how many "hits" it takes after trying to shoot it down with the Faction gel blaster but you don't need the app in order to play. For those interested in the batter type, it's powered by a rechargeable LiPo battery. I found the playing time is anywhere from 7-10 minutes depending how aggressively it has to fly in order to avoid getting hit. Charge time is only about 20 minutes or so. Overall, a really fun buy and worth it when you combine it with the other Faction items.

Faction Skyfire Target Drone, Black
As an enthusiastic drone hobbyist, I recently purchased the Faction Skyfire Target Drone in Black, hoping for an exhilarating flying experience. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment upon encountering numerous issues with this product. Here's a detailed account of my negative experience: Poor Build Quality: Right out of the box, it was evident that the Faction Skyfire Target Drone suffers from subpar build quality. The materials used feel flimsy and cheap, lacking the durability necessary for a drone designed for outdoor use. The plastic casing is prone to cracks and damage, rendering the drone susceptible to breakage even with minimal impact. Unreliable Performance: Despite its sleek appearance, the Faction Skyfire Target Drone fails to deliver on performance. The drone's flight stability is inconsistent, with frequent bouts of erratic behavior and uncontrollable maneuvers. Attempting to navigate the drone is an exercise in frustration, as it often veers off course or loses altitude unexpectedly. This unreliability severely hampers the overall flying experience. Limited Range and Battery Life: Another significant drawback of the Faction Skyfire Target Drone is its limited range and battery life. The drone's operating range is disappointingly short, restricting the user to confined spaces and limiting exploration opportunities. Additionally, the battery life is abysmally short, providing only brief intervals of flight before requiring lengthy recharging periods. This severely limits the drone's usability and enjoyment. Lackluster Features: For a drone marketed as a target drone, the Faction Skyfire lacks essential features that would enhance its functionality and appeal. There are no advanced flight modes, obstacle avoidance capabilities, or integrated camera systems, significantly diminishing its value and versatility. In comparison to other drones in its price range, the Faction Skyfire falls short in terms of features and innovation. Unresponsive Customer Support: To compound matters, my attempts to address these issues with Faction's customer support proved futile. Responses were slow and unhelpful, offering little in the way of solutions or assistance. The lack of effective customer support further exacerbates the frustration and dissatisfaction associated with this product. In conclusion, the Faction Skyfire Target Drone in Black is a disappointing product marred by poor build quality, unreliable performance, limited range and battery life, lackluster features, and unresponsive customer support. I would caution potential buyers against investing in this drone, as it fails to deliver a satisfactory flying experience and falls short of expectations.

This Drone is a Blast
See what I did there? This little drone is quite amazing. You toss it into the air gently, and it flies by itself and maintains a fairly low altitude. Good for indoor play. Toss it higher and harder, and it goes to a higher altitude. Good for outdoors. But be careful. It is so lightweight that the gentlest breeze blows it away. That said, once it is up, you shoot at it with a gel blaster. It does seem to avoid shots, but it's probably just programmed to move sporadically. (I doubt there is AI built in - yet.) Hit it enough in the right spots, and you bring it down. Then it shuts off automatically, ready to fly again with a toss. OR, the free app for a smartphone allows you to control as any drone would. I have not tried it with the app to see if the app records hits, but for the price, this is a great deal of fun. HINT: Have LOTS of ammo ready. It's harder to shoot down than you'd think!
