cuts clean through my Tupperware catalogs
Yes! I love this thing! I use this to punch holes through my Tupperware catalogs so I can put them in mini binders for parties. This allows me to use the same set of catalogs for each season. Putting them in these mini binders tells the party guests that these are not for taking home. It also allows me to slide in order forms and our mid month brochures and other sales right inside too. So each guest gets a complete packet. Prior to this I was tearing the books apart and sliding them into sleeve protectors and putting them into 3 prong folders. This took A LOT of time to do. I usually made 10 folders at a time and this saves me a ton of time now! And they are smaller so its easier to pack up and carry. This punches clean through. I will mention that the first few punches, there was a lot of oil residue left on my catalogs. After a few more punches the extra oil was gone. It cuts clean through easily. The sticky ruler was not in place when I took it out of the box so I had to put it back on. This is heavy but is also heavy duty. I dropped it on my concrete garage floor once already and it took it like a champ. I'm very happy with this product.

Best quality 3 hold punch! Also adjustable punches to vary where you want the holes to be!
Seriously the best hole punch I've ever used! We had one in our office, but it was always in someone else's classroom. Our school Science notebooks and other Handwriting notebooks from other companies punches well! Durable and will last forever! Highly recommend, works well with my hands that couldn't punch using the smaller punch. Value for quality and size - Great! Aligns well and has a metal measuring tool to place your papers/books.

Nice Heavy Duty Punch
The punch is nicely made and performs well with large stacks of papers. I replaced an older punch that could only punch about 25 sheets at a time, and the Swingline can punch about twice that. My only complaint is that when punching one or two sheets, the middle hole does not fully punch through and "hangs", but when punching more sheets at a time it works perfectly. I have not changed any of the settings yet, but the punch can be adjusted for different hole spacing. I really like the handle as it gives you a lot of leverage and makes punching stacks of paper easy. Most other punches require a lot more downward pressure because they do not have a extending handle like the Swingline. I gave this a 4 star because for the price I paid, I expected it to punch one sheet of paper perfectly, which it does not.

Love it!
This Swingline 440 (74440) hole punch is wonderful! Adjustable punch heads, replaceable punch heads when they get dull. And I can insert up to 7 total if I want. (Only ships with three, and new ones are $20 each, a bit expensive). I like this product because it is durable, heavy, powerful. I took this over the comparable 450 model (74450) because that one, by the online descriptions, can only go up to 4 punches, not 7. Complaints: well, it shipped with a bit too much oil on one of the punches, left ugly stains on the paper around the hole. I think after punching 1000 pages on scrap paper I have solved the problem. Actually, since I bought it used, maybe the manufacturer wasn't the one who put on too much oil.

Swingline A704440 Hole Punch Does the job
The Swingline Heavy-duty 3-hole paper punch is great. But, even though the holes it punches are as specified and are larger than the holes made by the standard hole punches, the holes are smaller than the holes made by the hole drilling machine used by reproduction at the company I use to work for. The larger holes made it easier to turn whole sections of a large document without binding. With this hole punch the holes don't allow large numbers a pages to be turned quite as easily. I still like this hole punch. It does the job. This Swingline hole punch easily cuts through thick documents, unlike the heavy duty hole punch I already had. I'm not using this in an office environment, so it hasn't gotten a lot of use.

Sloppy production, poor quality control
Pros: Solid. Adjustable. Markings and room for multiple punch heads. Cons: Lever spring a little tight. Punch head installation/replacement a little fussy. Sloppy manufacture. There are crusty, pitted edges from using worn molds to make the frame. Same for the punch heads. The actual punches are nice n sharp, but the channels don't let the chads fall out because the edges are not sanded smooth. This meant that I initially had trouble punching more than 10 sheets at a time. Smoothed out the exit edges of the channel with a tiny conical bit and it's fine now. The body itself is solid but it's weird that the finishing is sloppy. The edges are pitted and uneven either from sloppy demolding or a worn mold. The punch has an expanding guide to punch sheets of different sizes, but the alignment notch was missing on this unit. Had to calibrate my own mark. So while the model of the punch is fine, I had to put in my own labor/machining to make it properly usable.

Works for 7-hole aircraft form pages
The instructions on how to put the extra punches were not clear, but you place it in the center first and slide it in position. Once aligned it worked superb for the task! Will definitely come back to this order when these wear out.
