This works great with your tv and truly has NO PROGRAMMING for the basic parts of it. Some of the other buttons that are for TV apps like prime TV and others must need to be programmed because they don’t work, but I really wanted it so that I would have the ability to see all the buttons at night and it lights up great you can also turn off the light up part of it to save on battery, but it does turn off automatically after a few seconds, and when you touch it again, the lights would go on if you didn’t turn the switch off at the top. I was surprised that I wouldn’t have to program it all. I just put in the batteries and pointed at the TV and it was ready to go. I do think, however, it should’ve come with instructions on how to otherwise program the rest of it, but I’m sure you could find those instructions online or through the seller of this. It’s lightweight and works perfectly.

This remote is very helpful and easy to navigate. The best feature we live is that the remote lights up.

The remote is compatible with my Samsung TV my only problem was that I have to hit the buttons pretty hard for it to work. Im keeping it because...why not? Its not worth returning and finding a new one since it still works...but my thumb is like...oooookkkkaaayyy jeez!

I have attached 3 pics. The third picture is the two remotes that I bought this remote to replace. Yes they are different everything works on the replacement for the one on the left. The buttons are a little spongy and do not work all the time, but I bought them primarily for the backlight feature, so I am ok with that. The remote on the right is the one I have issue. As you see in the second picture, this is from their ad here that it should work. I was informed by the seller that my TV is not cable of using the Hulu, Prime and Netflix buttons, but as you see in the first picture when power on, or hitting the Home buttton, I do have capability of accessing these apps from my TV. As far as all other operations of the remote, it does work fine, I just wanted the option to select Hulu, etc. without having to navigate to it as advertised on this page.

Back light is hard to see the buttons. I did not purchase this again - way tooo slow to respond & several of the buttons quit working. Waste of money. Lasted less than a year.

BINGO!!! It works for my tv and lights up every thing on the facing. Just switched over the batteries and all buttons responded. Best remote for Samsung tv

Perfect replacement for my Samsung TV remote! Exactly what I hoped it would be…no silly code required for set-up, worked as soon as I popped batteries in, all buttons light up (not super bright), has Amazon and Netflix buttons, and best of all, it has the prerequisite and hard-to-find channel guide 👍🏻

Remote works fine with no programming. The remote arrived in a paper envelope with no bubble type protection. The remote itself was in a clear icey type. On insulated plastic bag. Problem with that is if pancakes get stacked on top of the remote the buttons get compressed beyond what would happen during normal use. The buttons themselves require a very deep push to activate and don’t know if that is becuase the the above mentioned shipping damage potential. Something for them to improve upon for sure.

Bought it to replace Samsung remote that did not light up. Love the button configuration. Very similar to the actual Samsung remote. Backlight stopped working after 2 weeks. Very disappointing.

Although infinitely better than the stock non illuminated remotes that come with many samsung tvs, it is less than stellar when it comes to its illumination. When lit (in the dark) it is not very bright and the top and bottom rows are darker as the panel appears to be lit more centrally meaning the light tails off at the top and bottom. The fact it is illuminated in yellow rather than white also doesn't help. All that said, it does illuminate making it super useful in the dark when you need a button you rarely use and haven't built muscle memory for. Being able to see the direction arrows alone in the dark makes this a good buy for me. The remote itself is laid out identically to my samsung tv remote apart from the inclusion of the light button at the top row in the middle of the 3 buttons now there. The official samsung remote has only 2 buttons up top, so this remote adds the light button without losing a button on the remote.
