Quick disconnect not quick without this tool.
In the picture you can see this tool way in the back of the hose on the right close to the firewall, the tool works great. You just fit it over the hose there and pull towards the front while pulling on the line to get it loose. I learned the hard way after changing my oil pressure sensor recently and removing a quick disconnect brake booster hose without a quick disconnect tool. It certainly was not quick, fun, or easy at all. This tool made removing the quick connect where my branch radiator hose goes into the firewall a breeze. Unfortunately I think I accidentally threw the tool away afterwards as I have been unable to find it since I finished the job. Get this, you'll thank yourself later. I'm going to have to get another one.

Worked Perfect
Worked perfect for my 2000 Silverado, when first purchasing the tool I was worried that it may break do to being made of plastic, but after using it to remove both fittings I’ve found that it is very sturdy and easily got the job done. Glad I didn’t spend the extra money on an aluminum tool.

It Works!
2007 GMC 2500HD Classic Diesel. I have multiple sets of quick-connect tools so I didn’t think this one would be necessary but bought just in case...Thank goodness I did. After multiple attempts with my existing tools I gave up and used this one which worked very well. It was an extremely tight spot and all the work was done blind and with my hand/hands in awkward positions. Once this tool was properly in place, fitting came right apart. ‘Quick-connects’ are only ‘quick’ connecting, not disconnecting!!!

Worked but broke in half
Worked as intended to get off my heater hose. Only con is that it broke in half. The good thing is that it is still usable and I will keep it for future use if needed.

Tool worked as it should.
Worked good after I figured out I was doing it wrong. Slide this tool over your heater core pipe, close it and slide it into the back of the fitting. Slowly twist and pull on the fitting and it will come off pretty easy. I was trying to pull the tool and fitting off together which will not work as the tool will hit on the lip of the pipe. Coat the rubber "O" ring of the new fitting with antifreeze before installing. Hint, if you have a 7/8" fuel line disconnect, the plastic kind that will slip around the pipe, it will work too, just pull on the fitting itself when removing. Wish I would have figured this out before ordering. Thanks

If you're disconnecting your heater core, you need this tool
I have 2 sets of quick disconnect tools, but neither set was deep enough to engage the quick connect pieces on my truck. I have a set of really shallow ones and another set of deeper ones. This one was the deepest of all of them. This made the job much easier. It was still a pain to get my hand behind the quick connect and to pull the hose off, but this tool is a must have even if you own quick connect tools. I had to spin the tool side to side a little after inserting it just to make sure the quick connect was fully disengaged. I would recommend doing that before damaging anything. I had to fix a 2004 silverado, so it took a lot of force to separate the old hoses, but just make sure the connector is fully disengaged before pulling really hard.

Spit first time
On my truck I had to try to use this tool by feel because of where the fitting is at the firewall. The two halves broke apart very easily the first time I tried to use them. I had a difficult time trying to mate them up until I ground off the tab that goes into the hole on the opposite side. This is pretty expensive piece of plastic but it works and I will now keep them in my truck along with some clamps incase of an emergency.
