Neoteck Portable 3.5mm Headphone Amplifier Two-Stage Gain Switch, 16-300 Ohm, Aluminum Matte Surface

Wired earbuds are my preferred listening mode for just about everything from music to work, to just watching videos. I just picked up some new high impedance IEMs and threw this in the cart on a whim. Holy cow! It felt like I was on a magic carpet singing "a whole new world" duo with Aladdin himself. Total game changer. The gain switch is awesome for lower listening volumes, really gives the sound some punch behind it, but for higher (LOUD) listening volumes, the gain boost can 'muddy-up' the sound a bit if you're listening to bass-heavy music. Super clean sound at high volumes with the gain switch off, though. I cranked this unit for 3+ hours right out of the box before I even charged it. It's got a solid feel to it and I like how the volume knob is just a bit tight, so you can't just accidentally crank on it, volume changes need to be deliberate. The only thing I wish this had was bluetooth, because you otherwise need a janky usb.c-to-trrs adapter or a bluetooth adapter to plug into the input, paired to your phone. (Bt adapter dongle is under $20) I suppose there's probably some higher end DAC units that have bluetooth, but this thing is so awesome for the price, it's worth adding a cheapo BT dongle if you want to use it wirelessly with your phone. I had been using a cheapo bluetooth single-earbud for use with my phone, but it's really only good for podcasts & audio books, the sound quality is ok at best, and I refuse to spend three figures on BT earbuds just to listen to music. This package ended up being about $60-something for IEMs, this DAC (amp), and a $12 BT dongle, and I'm absolutely stoked about it. Top notch sound, this killer amp that seems like it will run all day, and a cheapo BT dongle with similar battery life. It's a do-it-all set up for work or play.

I bought this to replace an older unit that never delivered very much amplification. Can't say that about the Neoteck unit. It has plenty of power delivering increased amplification to my earbuds, through 15 feet of cable, with a very low volume control setting. I use it to amplify the sound from the Samsung TV with the TV volume completely turned down so that I don't disturb my sleeping wife. The unit works perfectly, and the build is quality and very solid. I especially like having a rechargeable battery to save on battery purchases. With a full charge I watched a 3 hour movie and the unit then recharged in a very short period of time. The sound quality is very good with no distortion or feedback. I am very happy with this device.

This is an initial out of the box review done by a pro-audio technician of 40+ yrs experience. That said, It's still IMHO. Received product and charged up. The unit appears well built and the cords are seem very adequate with nice spring strain reliefs. My sound comparsion was done using my new: [OneOdio Adapter-free Closed Back Over-Ear DJ Stereo Monitor Headphones, Professional Studio Monitor & Mixing, Telescopic Arms with Scale, Newest 50mm Neodymium Drivers- Glossy Finsh] For the sound test, I tested using the following broad range of music and sounds; 1. Also sprach Zarathustra, Op. 30-Richard Strauss; Excellent & Accurate. 2.Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, Just like I was there. Nice crisp highs and great low frequency. 3. AC/DC, Thunderstruck & Shoot to Thrill; Oh Yeah..... 4. ABBA Yep, sounds great. 5. Paranoid both GFR and BS versions, No disappointments here either. 6. Lynyrd Skynyrd- Simple Man & Free Bird - Lets face it, it would take an Awfull headphone to ruin these. That said, Front row experience. 7. IRON BUTTERFLY IN- A-GADDA-DA-VIDA, Rock ON!! I evaluated the above without the amplifier and then with. Overall, I am pleased. It does add a more "full body" listening experience. The amplification is clean and quiet. No clipping at high levels (on my headphones). Definately a good purchase for the hearing impaired. They will make good headphones sound better and Studio Grade headphones sound great. THEY WILL NOT make cheapies sound better, just louder. IMPORTANT NOTE; Using these on a headphones with smaller drivers (30mm or less) will overdrive them at higher volume levels. This amp shines best with 40 to 50mm studio grade headphones. I wouldn't spend anymore than I did though. No regrets on what I did spend and do recommend them. EDIT: There are some music selections where the amp will make the BASS sound overdriven. Most noteable is: The Island - My Name is Lincoln Extended. The drums overly BOOM. ALSO; The amp doesn't have "pass through" sound. When the switch is off, kills all sound. Should've been easy to engineer them to do this where if the battery dies, you can still listen barefoot. This is my 1 star deduction,

Good little amp. Sound is very good. Housing is small. Easy to place it in pocket. Best thing is it is not consuming phone’s internal battery power.

This is a really useful gadget. It happens fairly often that when I'm trying to watch a YouTube video, the volume is so low that I cannot hear what's being said. This amplifier makes that problem disappear. If you experience this same problem, definitely give the Neoteck amplifier a try!

Amp is real decent, it would be great if the aux cord wasn't junk DO NOT! buy this amp unless you buy another aux cord it wears down real quick and makes you regret buying it

Very impressed with this product super high-quality, works very well! You turned it up too high, God help you. This is not for children.

Personnellement, j’ai utilisé cet adaptateur pour prolonger les câbles Jack, j’avais plusieurs câbles de 5 m et ça m’a permis de prolonger un son de bonne qualité et sans perte. Je recommande donc fortement ce produit. Il est vraiment de bonne qualité et en métal qui plus est ce qui lui donne un style assez cool.

Este producto me ha sorprendido. Es muy bueno y tiene mucha potencia. Lo tengo puesto para la salida frontal de auriculares del PC. Uso las salidas de uno u otro lugar según determinadas cosas y ya para jugar directamente unos cascos Logitech. Pero necesitaba dar volumen a esa salida y lo he conseguido. Da mucha mucha potencia. El ruido que se oye al ir subiendo el volumen es porque lo tenéis conectado a la corriente para cargarlo mientras lo usáis. Se desconecta y listo. Otra cosa, cuando tiene poca batería casi no amplifica, parece que se ha estropeado, pero no es así. Comprobado. Este mismo aparato lo hay con bluetooth y pensé cogerlo, pero es que no voy a llevarlo con el móvil para escuchar música por la calle. Si es para usarlo en casa vale, pero cargar con más peso no. Así que coged el que is vaya mejor o según la oferta. El pero que puse es que el cable jack que viene es muy aparente y bonito, pero se han soltado los conectores al desenchufarlo ayer para limpiar un poco la caja del PC. Dos semanas y solamente se desenchufaron dos veces contadas. Parece que el cable venía mal de fábrica pues se cayeron ambos extremos. Al final un cable nuevo pedido en amazon. Poned un cable bueno. Lo agradeceréis. Tendréis menos ruido seguro. Su cable era bueno en conexiones pero muy frágil. Una pena porque no lo encuentro suelto.

Per gli amanti della musica che usano anche gli mp3, tanto invisi da alcuni audiofili ma praticamente ottimi se ben fatti, si va spesso in contro al volume insufficiente, soprattutto per mp3 creati da opere di una certa età, e ancor più se ascoltati con cuffie di qualità per le quali nessun lettore mp3, anche di gran qualità, prevede la necessaria potenza, anche a causa di norme legislative che impediscono di produrre lettori che superino una certa pressione sonora. Naturalmente senza indicare con quale tipo di cuffia questa pressione deve essere raggiunta (sic.) Sono quindi entrati in produzione questi amplificatori da interporre tra il lettore e la cuffia. Inizialmente ero un po' timoroso perché non è in classe A, ma i timori si sono vanificati all'ascolto: l'amplificatore funziona bene, ha due posizioni di amplificazione, normale ed extra. Ed io uso quasi sempre la posizione normale più che sufficiente per la maggior parte dei brani. Certamente per la tendenza attuale che mette la comodità come priorità innanzi tutto, usando blue tooth e addirittura cuffie che possono memorizzare brani nelle loro memorie per non usare nemmeno il telefono, non si sposa con questo sistema, in quanto il lettore va collegato via cavo così pure la cuffia, ma se non si fa troppo i sofistici, il sistema è comodo e certamente portatile. L'autonomia della batteria interna è ottima tant'è che non so quantificarla, avendolo usato parecchio prima di ricaricarlo. Sicuramente risponde ai dati indicati.
