My Dad purchased “Hershey’s” ‘Kisses’ ‘Special Selection’ for me, via his ‘Prime’ account on ‘Amazon India’, in September 2023.The product is manufactured in Malaysia.Supposedly containing a total of 70 individually-wrapped and colour-coded ‘Kisses’, the variants received are:‘Yogurt’: Wrapped in light-blue coloured foil, it is flavoured with yogurt powder among other ingredients. Upon taste, a ‘tang’ often associated with ‘Yogurt’ in its actual form is experienced immediately. It complements the milk chocolate very well. Quite ‘different’ from many of the chocolate flavours commercially available, this variant can be identified as the ‘USP’ (‘Unique Selling Point/Proposition’) of the product. I received a total of 19 ‘Kisses’ in this variant.‘Truffle’: Wrapped in dark blue-coloured foil, it is apparently filled with ‘liquid’ milk chocolate. The milk chocolate (in terms of both filling and coating) delivers on a ‘fruity’ flavour. I have often experienced ‘fruity’ notes in bittersweet chocolate. This is, perhaps, the first time when I have had a similar experience with milk chocolate. It is quite good, albeit unexpected. I received a total of 16 ‘Kisses’ in this variant.‘Mocha’: Wrapped in brown-coloured foil, the ‘Mocha’ flavour is strong. One feels as if consuming ‘coffee’ beverage in its actual form. It is not offensively bitter though. It truly lives upto its name. I received a total of 26 ‘Kisses’ in this variant.‘Strawberry’: Wrapped in pink-coloured foil, the ‘Strawberry’ flavour is akin to that of hard-boiled strawberry-flavoured ‘candy’. It complements the milk chocolate well enough. I received a total of 12 ‘Kisses’ in this variant.I ended up receiving a total of 73 ‘Kisses’. It might have been a ‘fluke’, or be the case with product bags marked ‘for export’ in their country of origin.Each variant is composed of milk chocolate (70%) and specific cream-flavoured filling (30%). The milk chocolate contains min. 28% each of dry cocoa solids and dry milk solids.The chocolate ‘coating’ the ‘Kisses’ are composed of, is highly prone to melting at room temperature. Hence, the ‘Kisses’ must be refrigerated (ideally inside of the ‘freezer’ section) prior to consumption.While it is difficult to ‘pick’ a ‘favourite’, the ‘Yogurt’ and ‘Mocha’ variants are, in my humble opinion, the ‘best’ of the ‘lot’.Overall, this chocolate ‘assortment’ is worth the purchase.
