Very nice calculator.

I got this for a statistics class I am taking this semester and it really works great! I also play Magic The Gathering so the stylus board side works great for keeping track of things during the game.

Pad was light and hard to read - keys not at all user friendly. Price was right - guess you can't expect HP quality for cheap -

I originally gave this three stars. I have reconsidered and I am giving it four stars. The calculator is everything it claims to be. By itself it would get five stars. However, the so-called pad merits three stars or less. Therefore, I am compromising at four stars. The product is sold as an overall unit and the promotional material for the pad may induce the purchase of one more calculator. Put another way, it does not add; it subtracts.====================Let me start by saying that, when I ordered this, I was under the mis-impression that when material was typed into the calculator, it would appear on the pad, and therefore you would have the opportunity to go over your figures to make sure everything had been entered correctly - similar to a paper printout. That is NOT the case.The pad is simply for making handwritten notes. I also found the eligibility of the pad to be somewhat poor, as compared to the example given in the first graphic on the promotional page.I give it three starts because calculators are a dime a dozen, so to speak, and the pad seems to me to be of little use because of its poor legibility. I gave it an extra star because it has a solar battery function.

Though I have a calculator on my phone and computer, you can't beat having an actual stand-alone calculator! Its great to have actual buttons and the size and feel of these are perfect for me. I LOVE the scribble pad on the side too! I am constantly comparing prices or factoring something and its nice to have a scribble pad connected right there without having to also search out a pen and paper! The case is awesome and very durable! I decorated mine to help me remember which side was top because i kept wanting to open it upside down. Love the dual battery and solar power option because I dont always have enough light for my solar-only calculators but also I know the day will come that the battery is dead and the solar option will save the day. The pen is a little annoying to pull out and I have to scratch at it with a fingernail to get it out but that also means that it doesn't fall out accidentally! I love that you can lock your notes so you don't accidentally clear them out before you're done with them! I wish the notepad was on the other side because as a right-handed person I am constantly covering my notes with my hand while using it. Its not awful just minor annoying at times! Probably perfect for a lefty though! Just has slightly more than basic functions but that hasn't been an issue for my use. I keep it in my laptop bag, purse, and a backpack that all get beat up pretty good and its held up great with no wear or tear at all!

I will tell you what, I was ready to not like this. I needed a calc for some quick calcs at my 3D printers so I can do some basic calculations dealing with printing some items. I saw this avail for viners to review. So I picked it and didnt realize how handy the sketching side was gonna be! I really like this product.

These are the mushy finnicky rubber nubs that have to be pressed in just at the right angle to register and actually depress. Anything short of a straight-in press tends to rub against the keypad plate and misregister the stroke. For those who like touch-typing on a calculator for speed calculations will find this one very frustrating.That is a mere annoyance that detracts considerably from otherwise a very well designed device.The book design has a magnetic closure to securely stay closed when not in use. The dual power (solar + battery cell) supply means a functional device under any condition. The plastic housing is very nice, not flimsy plastic, but substantial. All in all, if you can get around the finnicky keys (and the strange name!), it's a solid winner.
