If you want to get into the hobby this is a great start
With prices of miniatures and books now this feels like a good deal. If it is ever discounted by even 10% I say jump on it. Comes with two decent size starting armies. Two patrol boxes would cost more and give you smaller armies, so definitely start with this. The core book is amazing and the pieces are snap to fit so good for beginners. You will still need cutters, hobby knife and plastic glue to get the models on the base. The models all look great and have good detail. I did have one loose space marine head floating in the box and all the bases were out of the package but nothing was damaged. I am happy with my purchase but would really only recommend this if you are collecting either army, a hard core collector or new to the hobby.

Great Set and Arrived as Expected
The set came with everything as promised. Space Marines, Tyranids, instructions, game cards all there. I'm sure there is value because once GW starts selling these miniatures separately, the prices will be expensive for each separate unit. Great set, and I'm looking forward to using them.

Why haven't you bought this yet?
I haven't played current 40K rules outside of a game of combat patrol, so I can't give an informed opinion on 10th edition 40k. I can however, say that this is a crazy good deal. The models are super detailed, which is achieved by splitting the models into multiple pieces which can be push-fit...though I recommend gluing to make sure there's no gaps. Putting them together seems more complicated, but much easier to do...a lot easier to do than trying to hold and glue 3 pieces together on regular models where you have a body, an arm and arm with weapon. For this old person, I just don't have the dexterity for that. Not only is the price great, but you get a ton of models including a nice combination of larger units. Do you really need me to tell you this is worth it?

One of the best values in Warhammer 40K
Like the headline says. If you take the time to go through each model included in this boxset and parse out what the final cost would be for most of the units when sold individually, it's very easy to reach $800 or higher. If you're looking to get into the hobby this isn't a bad investment to make and if you're already deep into Warhammer and want some Tyranids or Marines it's almost inconceivable that you'll find a better value than this one. All of the models inside are push fit and possible to build without glue, though I'd recommend some nonetheless. This boxset also includes mission cards and a hardcover version of the core rulebook for 10th edition. It almost doesn't bear mention as most people already know what to expect from Gamesworkshop, but the models are incredibly detailed and captured in very dynamic poses just bursting with personality. It doesn't get much better than this.

New Players or returning players from years back this is a skip.
Let me start by saying that the last 40K box set I bought was way back at 3rd edition so I am very much playing catch up, but STILL? This a fantastic premium box. the model are amazing. This is the largest set of push fits I had at one time, and they are super well designed. ** Word of advise if you don't want to glue, do use a little on the neurotyrant's arms. I had to leave one unglued and sure enough it popped out and was near impossible to get back in place once the rest of the model was assembled** Other wise as someone who started 40K game with 2nd ed where marines were single piece, I don't count these mono pose models as any kind of negative. The Book is... well... big? It is a tome that anyone that's a fan of 40K or just interested in lore of the universe will appreciate. The issue with the book is that it's well... big. Now I don't mean physical size. They say on the box it 300+ pages, but the contents of the book are massive the print is 8 or 9 point font size. Just as reference 12 is kind of an standard for most publications I've seen. So, super small text crammed onto pages that have to share art that takes over a third of the page. GW I love your art but for goodness sakes give the words some room to breath. I also have some real concerns that the size is going to tear it self apart over time. I've already seen post from people saying they have pages falling out. I just got my copy, So far so good, BUT I can't help thinking this book would have benefited being split into three 100 + books much like in 2nd ed. Finally, the last nit to pick is that this is a model box. Yes you get the hard back book with missions and the physical index cards, but that's really it. No dice, rulers or boards to play with. I was expecting this to be The-Premier-Stater set but it isn't. Looking back it isn't presented as one. Over time I have seen GW do the three tier box sets and always thought they were all intended to start paying. I was wrong. Over all this a great box with fantastic minis. The rather bloated book, and the fact that despite having the rules and the index cards, but no dice or boards makes me regret the purchase. I have dice, plenty of terrain, several game mats, and measuring tapes. Just for someone that wants to start out as strong as possible, or wants to get back into the game and is willing to purchase the Maserati of new box offering for 40K it seems wrong to get stiffed on the ash trays.

Leviathan Game Box
I am really happy with my purchase of the Leviathan Game box. I was really surprised to find that the set came with the Leviathan Core Rulebook along with the Gamecards and miniatures. I felt that the price was much less than what I purchased. The newly designed miniatures were worth my payment and then some. I am a new collector and am very happy for my purchase.

It's a 40K starter set.
If you already play 40K and have a plastic crack addiction, you know what this is. If you don't already play 40K and are looking to buy this as a gift or start your plastic crack addiction, this is a great starting point. All of the models are press-fit, so no glue is required. Building all of the models only takes a few hours at a comfortable pace, even if you don't know anything about building 40K models. The only issue you *might* run into is missing one or two of the plastic bases for the kit. Mine was missing one of the smaller bases, but your local Warhammer store will have replacements.

This is brilliant, especially if you're starting out with Warhammer. A huge very detailed book with the newest rules, a ton of miniatures to build, a very nicely made deck of cards and box, sticker sheet. There's also detailed instructions how to build everything. The box is huge and is worth the purchase for anyone who's a Warhammer veteran or beginner. It's not a cheap hobby, and even though this may seem pricey, for what you get over a lot of other things you can buy in this hobby, you get a lot for your money here. Very happy I took the dive and bought it.

Buenísima caja. Pero es una trampa, luego pillas más figuras...

O produto chegou sem o lacre, faltando miniaturas, especificamente o Dreadnought, o livrarias e terminator squad. Também datam as cartas com as missões.

Apenas comienzo con 40k pero es más que suficiente para un proyecto de armar y pintar por semanas.

Value for money is outstanding. The new rule book is gorgeous, the datasheet cards are handy for army building, the models are intricately detailed. My only complaint: the box doesn't handle shipping well. Mine arrived with minor damage to the corners, a rip in the cardboard art inside, and some of the model pieces were loose. If you're a hardcore collector and want to save the packaging, do yourself a favour and purchase it in person.
