Just buy it!
This is my review of the all black matte Nespresso vertuo pop I have had many different styles and types of coffee today, didn’t know what a double shot of expresso was but now I do! Lol so now that I am very over caffeinated I am ready to review this thing! Let me start off by saying I own a Mocha Master and I still love it, as far as making a whole pot of coffee goes the mocha master is still the best HOWEVER the Nespresso has definitely earned its place next to my mocha master. This thing is compact! Which I appreciate because I don’t like having a bunch of machines and stuff cluttering my coffee bar. The color is beautiful I highly recommend going with the all matte black one it looks like black satin very pretty! The brew time is fast not sure what anyone would have complaints about it, I can get a cup of coffee depending on the size in 30sec-1min. Seems like a well built machine that should last, it did flash red on me the first use so I’m hoping that’s not foreshadowing that me and this machine are going to have ongoing issues lol but Ive made about 6 more cups with no issues. I love the way it disposes of its lil pods they just slide right into a tiny built in trashcan when you open the machine then you can just pull that out and dump! Now the taste, the taste is on point I’ve heard mixed reviews about Nespresso coffee and its taste but I am a coffee snob! I’m probably one of the only moms in the world that hates Starbucks because their coffee tastes like burnt beans unless you put mass amounts of sugar and crap in it to hide the taste, but a plain cup of black coffee from Starbucks is undrinkable to me so that being said I think Nespresso makes a pretty darn good cup of coffee (plain black coffee I didn’t add anything to it) lots of flavor and I do enjoy the lil bit of foam it makes on top of each cup! Even their double shot of espresso is good just by itself you don’t even need to mix it with anything if you don’t want to. So being the coffee snob that I am and not loving a lot of unnecessary machines all over the place the Nespresso can stay on the counter because it will be getting lots of use, I love it!

Great taste, easy to use
Bought this machine on sale with a 30 pack of Carmel, vanilla, and Hazelnut pods for a little less than the price of the the machine alone. The machine makes excellent coffee compared to a K-cup machine. The difference in flavor and quality would be like comparing VHS to DVD, or more like comparing VHS to Bluray if you are old enough to get the reference. I bought a cheep $36 electric milk frother to go with it and I am ecstatic with the results. I love the crema that this machine produces. The machine came with a sample kit, and a $10 coupon if you order directly from the Nespresso web site. The machine is one touch because it reads barcodes on the pods. Keurig tried this when they went to the Keurig 2 and was not very popular because people had a bunch of pods that could not be used in their new machines. The only cons that I can see is the price of the pods and Nespresso being proprietary with their pods (this is a good thing as it ensures the quality, and bad if Nespresso ever goes out of business). I would recommend buying the pods from Nespresso directly, as the pods are the same price and they include samples of coffee. I still use the Keurig, because I have a boatload of K-cups, but once I start running out of those and have a ready supply of the Nespresso pods I can see the Keurig being retired. Nespresso pods are around $125 pod, and K-cups are around $.55 a pod. For quality and enjoyability the Nespresso is worth the price difference, especially if you are able to find a flavor you enjoy.

Espresso and Crema that’s the best!
I bought this machine for my wife. I have mastered our espresso machine but now my wife makes better espresso than me! I was trained as a barista. The Nesspresso is magnificent! Its Crema/ foam is amazingly thick and impressive and the taste of the coffee itself is wonderful. Sure engineering and process miracle!

Coffees ok, but the espresso pods are the best
It’s ok for coffee the foam or crème? Isn’t my jam, it look looks good and maybe I’ll get used to it. But the espresso pods have been amazing. I had no clue what I was doing to the point I didn’t know what recipe to look up, or what steamed milk was. I made one shot of espresso hot, added milk and creamer for sweetness, some ice and the espresso last. To my surprise it was very good, slightly better than any thing I’ve got from Starbucks on its best day. I was regretting my purchase until I tried the espresso pods, now i use it along side my Keurig.

Do Not Buy It If You Live Outside the USA
I bought this Vertuo Pop as a gift for my son in August 2025, and it hasn’t even been a year. About a month ago, the orange light started blinking. We have followed all the tutorials we could find, but the issue has not been resolved. We live in Colombia and took it to a Nespresso store, where we were told that all machines purchased in the United States come with this problem, and since this is a model that is not sold in Colombia, there are no spare parts available. The proposed solution was to trade it in and pay the same amount we originally paid for the machine to get a new one, which we did not accept. When you buy one of these machines, you’re supposed to enter the “Nespresso universe” and enjoy a premium experience, but honestly, this has been very disappointing. Now we basically have a very nice paperweight at home because the machine no longer works.

Looks great! Coffee comes out great!
I think it's been about a year I've had my vertuo pop plus. The good: excellent coffee. I just love the poor, delicious cream-that's what I wanted! The not so good: the vertuo + uses wifi (not a requirement to use at all) however, if you're installing the app and want the features such as adjustable brew times you'll need it. , your wifi signal may have to be Adjusted to a deferent frequency which I'm not doing that. The really not good. Although the machine itself is relatively inexpensive, the pods are not. They're the most costly out of the Nespresso line and there are no third - party vertuo pods.

Easy to use and great coffee
I bought this for my daughter and she loves it! It is slim to fit on her counter and the options of where to put the water container is helpful. She loves the coffee she makes with it and appreciated the enclosed sample Nespresso coffee pods.

Good machine
Makes a great cup of coffee although the crema is not really crema more like coffee foam.
