So far so good...Easy to setup and connects wirelessly each time
I recently purchased an early Mazda CX-30 - which only supports a wired Android Auto connection.I used it for Google Maps on a day when I did about 4-5 hrs driving and during that time the wired connection dropped twice. Luckily it was near the end of a particular section of a journey / stopping for a break.I tried swapping cables etc and testing sat outside my house - but I noticed it would still occasionally disconnect. The advice was that I should get a really good cable such as an Anker IIIHowever, I also did not like the idea that my phone battery would get fully charged to 100% when using the Wired AA for long periods. So, I decided to try out this Wireless dongle - so I can decide when and how long I charge my phone battery - since it would not have to be wired in for the whole journey.I have not done any long journeys in the car yet - but so far, I have started the car up around 10 times and this Wireless dongle has connected each time and given me a wireless AA connection.I will update this review after I have been on a long journey - to confirm if it disconnects or not.I should point out that the connection worked fine without updating the dongle. However, after 5-6 starts I decided to Update the dongle firmware and so far it still connects fine after the update. The update itself is a bit finicky - but when you buy the dongle, the seller should message you with a small user manual - which explains the update process. Just follow it completely - including the bit about Wifi Direct - and it should all work fine.

Works with 2019 Kia Niro soft Hybrid,
No app required, works directly with Android Auto, just Bluetooth pair and away you go. Offers more functionality than a USB cable and is much faster to log on, stunning value for money!

Works Pretty Good in Land Rover Evoque - Few Teething issues
My 2019 Evoque has Android Auto built in but unfortunately it is the older system that only allows a hard wired USB connection. Whilst this is fine for the most part i am not a huge fan of having wires draped across the central column of the car. When i came across this wireless dongle i thought it would be a great idea to try. The product itself if very small in size, in fact much smaller than i thought it would be. It comes with a USB A cable and an adapter to convert this into a USB C connection should you have a newer style vehicle. The device is almost plug and play, but there is some very basic setup required on your phone. I have a Samsung S23 ultra. I connected the device to my in car USB port and within a second or two a small LED lit up on the device. I then went into the bluetooth on my phone, found the device and tried to connect to it. My phone however kept telling me it had failed to connect. After about 5 mins and being almost ready to give up i unplugged the dongle and reinserted it into the USB port again and this time my phone connected 1st time. I used my in car display to switch to Android auto and to my delight Waze appeared on my screen! It worked!!I have used the device for the last couple of days and in the most it is excellent, crystal clear images and sound, navigation works great and Spotify plays fine. The only repeating issue i have is that the device does fail to connect each time, requiring you to unplug from the car usb and reboot it. But once you establish the connection it is stable and there is no dropouts whilst driving.I would have loved to have rated this product 5 stars, but the initial connection issues each time i start my car are a little frustrating. It could just be my car, but who knows?!Would i recommend this device to others? I actually would - i love having Android Auto wirelessly available in my vehicle. And now i don't need to use my outdated in car satnav as my car can use Android Auto wirelessly!I hope that you found my review helpful.

Great when it works
Connection is, at best, sporadic. I'm driving a 2018 VW Golf and running android 13, everything is up to date. Since the last android auto update I can't get it to connect at all (wired is working fine). Android auto in the car will tell me to make sure my phone is open, it tries to "read the usb" and then tells me it can't connect. It's very frustrating. When its worked it's fantastic, exactly what I want and what you'd expect. It's just frustratingly inconsistent.

Seem less Connection, Easy Setup
The device was easy to set up although my phone did decide to reboot during the process, not sure why. But once rebooted, the connection process was easy and so far is reliable. Due to the connector on my phone, I would often experience disconnection as the lead wobbled. So far it would appear that problem has been consigned to history. All car controls on the steering wheel function correctly as does the car screen. My only observation, and this is probably the car rather than the device, is that the Bluetooth connection endures for about 5 minutes after I switch off the car, and this keeps the WiFi connection to the device rather than allowing my phone to connect to my home WiFi network.

5 minute job
Smaller than first thought, which was a great surprise. Does the job with ease, plug and play. Literally took 5 minutes to install and that included tucking it away out of sight.
