Julep Eyeshadow 101 Cream-to-Powder Waterproof Shadow Stick – Meadow Shimmer – Long-Lasting, Crease-Proof, Earthy Green Shimmer Cream Eyeshadow with Built-in Smudger

I really like these eyeshadow sticks! The formula glides on easily and blends beautifully*, but blend it quickly because once it sets, it DOES NOT BUDGE. (YMMV if you have oily lids.) I can put it on in the morning and it will look exactly the same at bedtime. If that wasn't great enough, it comes off easily too, with micellar water or other makeup remover. Worth the effort!Overall, I love using these much more than any powder shadow I've ever tried, even high-end brands.*I use a brush to blend. I find that works much better than the included sponge tip.I don't find the need for an eyeshadow primer with these. In fact, when I've used one, it creates a sticky/tacky texture that's harder to blend. Maybe I just haven't used the right primer, but I don't need one with these.I have 15 shades and counting. I like some better than others. I'll give my take on each one below. (I have fair skin with olive undertones, brown eyes, and dark hair.)In general, shimmer shades are medium coverage, but buildable. Matte shades are pretty full coverage, but very blendable. I tend to like the shimmer shades better than the mattes. I know conventional wisdom is that mattes are better for 'mature' skin, but I find the light-reflecting quality of the shimmers very flattering. In my opinion, the mattes can look a little stark and dusty, drawing more attention to wrinkles.- Amethyst shimmer: very pretty, cool dark purple. It lightens up when I blend it, but I think it's buildable.- Blush pink metallic: very, very sheer glittery pink. Useful as a highlighter if you like glitter, but I don't.- Cherry cola matte: lovely deep eggplant, good for outer corners.- Clay matte: a dusty pink, kind of the color of baby doll skin? Works well for a no-makeup look for lighter skin tones.- Cocoa shimmer: perfect dark brown. I use this on my outer corners most days.- Flame shimmer: a nice, warm light pinky peach.- Lilac matte: this was a poor choice on my part, lol. Too cool for my skin tone, too unnatural looking for my preference.- MInk mauve metallic: a nice medium taupe, but I kinda overlooked the 'metallic' part -- it really is shinier than a shimmer, which limits it to evening wear for me.- Mocha matte: great for outer corners.- Orchid shimmer: very pretty warm purple.- Pearl shimmer: beautiful, true to the name. Good for inner corners or as a highlighter.- Putty matte: matches my skin color but brightens it a bit. I use it for a base, to even out my veiny lids.- Red wine shimmer: very pretty ruby/russet. I use on outer corners.- Rose shimmer: I expected a dusty pink but this is more like a dark rose gold. A good transitional shade or for making a fake crease.- Sand shimmer: too glittery for me, so I returned it and ordered champagne shimmer, the next step in my quest for a neutral shimmer shade for my lids.- Smoky tawny matte: I didn't expect this to be very exciting, but it is a fantastic transitional shade for my skin tone, great for making a fake crease and lifting my saggy browbones.- Stone matte: dark grey with a hint of plum. Nice for outer corners.

Had this saved in my cart for a while and finally decided to just try it based on the reviews. At my age (60) I’m all about simplicity in my daily makeup routine and I really appreciate eye crayons. I’m a big fan of Thrive products and have several of their Eye Brightener shadows. But up until recently most of the colors were shimmers, which I have decided don’t look as good on my mature skin.I had a special event coming up so decided to just try this one in a matte color. I’m so glad I did! It was perfect! Color is good with my skin tone, it blends easily with the sponge tip, and it stayed all day. I like that it is perfect for daily wear for work, but it can be layered for a more intense color for evening wear. And the price point is great.Only complaint is that the stick was broken inside the tube, but I was able to just push it back down inside and it seems fine. That’s not the fault of the manufacturer but Amazon’s sparse packaging, so I won’t deduct a star for that.Great product! I will order more.

I can't get enough of the rose shimmer color. I've tried other eyeshadow sticks and none of them are as smooth or in the right color. I've purchased this item multiple times and will continue to do so. The only negative is the stick broke for me this last one and kept getting stuck in the cap rather than the dispenser.

After reading many comments and comparing with other eyes shadow jumbo stick, I finally picked that one and it doesn’t disappoint.I am very pleased with the vibrant color and the ease of application on my eye lid. The “brush” is a plus, I used to have sticks without one and this comes very handySo far it stayed the whole day and remained very colorful. I think I will buy more colors soon.Last thing, what I like about this creamy stick is that it does not spill sparkles or powder under the eye like the typical eye shadows do: very convenient when you like dark shades and colors. Thumb up for this product!

I absolutely love these eyeshadow crayons. I bought 2. They go on smoothly whether I prep my eyelids or not, are easy to blend, and stay put. I feel good using the product. Yes, worth the money. I’ll be purchasing 2 more, and great for travel as they fit in my carryon cosmetic bag. I had bought another brand and ended up tossing them because they were too dry to apply. For reference, I’m 70 yrs old and use only a light foundation mixed with my moisturizer, blush, mascara and eyebrow pencil. I feel good with the complete picture.

LOVE this in Desert Matte! THIS is exactly what I wanted and have been trying to get with other products that have turned out to be the wrong shade, the wrong texture, the wrong opacity, or just ended up creasing/smudging horribly. This is like having that "bright eyed" look of your youth back - or looking well rested when you didn't sleep well - in an easy swipe or two! I love this so much that I subscribed to get it every four months. (I bought the primer, too; but I don't like the primer as well [too thin] and do not need it, as it turns out, because the stick goes on and stays on smoothly just fine without the primer.)
