I've been using Shelly devices for several years and have been consistently impressed. These add-ons are fantastic! I have one currently controlling my 240V, 3000W electric space heater. It's configured with one leg of the 240V connection (at 120V) running through the relay, which also powers the Shelly 1. This add-on is connected to a standard DS18B20 temperature probe. Using Shelly's virtual thermostat feature with this add-on, I can precisely control my shop's temperature from anywhere with an internet connection via the Shelly app.I also have another one of these units controlling an exhaust fan in a grow room, connected to a DHT20 temperature and humidity sensor. Both add-ons have been working flawlessly. You can use these devices with a variety of sensors, including soil temperature/moisture sensors, and they can be powered by DC as well. This adds tremendous value to Shelly Plus devices!I highly recommend these add-ons for any home automation project. They are easy to configure and use. In the future, I plan to add a display unit and an OpenHab server to create custom widgets showing the temperature and other metrics all in a nice wall display.

Absolutely great devices.I have been doing automation for years in industry and at home automation. I have never seen such friendly devices easily connected, configured and integrated. Love them.

I really like the Shelly Addon. In my case I am doing something very specific, I am using the addon out doors to monitor the temp of animal waterers. I *could* have built this sensor myself but given the fact that it has a case, and hooks right into the shelly plus devices, this was definitely the way to go over DIY. Sure I could have done it cheaper, but at the end of the day, the temperature rating for these devices and the whole package were a big part of the reason I bought these.Works great with Home Assistant. I don't use the Shelly cloud. I used to flash Shelly devices with Tasmota, but recently the Shelly firmware has gotten quite good and the updates for the firmware show up in the HA dashboard which is a big plus.The add on has a limited number of sensors that it supports so its not perfect, but it fit my usecase perfectly

What a nice idea. Finally an inexpensive way to connect hardwired sensors without having to use the Konnected alarm panel. These are expensive enough to get several and add sensors. Works in Home Assistant.

I use this with a 2PM to give access to a DS18B20 and it works great. Integrates with HomeAssistant to easily provide temperature and switch control to my dashboard.

Bought this to monitor temperatures on a home boiler via Alexa. Come to find out that since this is an "add-on" the sensor values are not available to Alexa. Only the input/output on the main board you add this to comes into Alexa. I coupled this to an i4UL to monitor some status points too and the only thing way these points come into Alexa is as doorbells!?!? Now every time my boiler starts I have Alexa play Westminster Chimes on my phone :)The Shelly app is a way better method to monitor temps and status points from my boiler. It even has data logging and the ability to program some simple logic. Just wish the Alexa integration was a little more developed.
