Great Bass for the Price
Honestly, for the price, you're not getting a much better bass than this one.The body has a cool design, the neck and body feel great for the most part. It's really light, which makes it easy to carry around and move on stage for showmanship (if that's your style). I personally love that the name is Huntington Outlaw P-Bass (which can be abbreviated to HOP Bass). Really, if you want a bass that will cover all that needs to be covered with a bass, you're pretty much golden with this one.The only things that I will say work against this one are that my volume knob, rather than gradually increase and decrease volume as it's being turned, will instead just turn on and off. Any volume in between is very hard to access. I also played in a show once where the bass actually had to crescendo while playing the note, and the volume knob actually caused static in the sound system while I was changing the volume and playing the note at the same time. The other knob works just fine, so it almost makes me wonder why there was an issue with one and not the other, but it is what it is.I also hear a buzz when playing the E string, but the buzz doesn't go through to the amp, so I guess that's not too much of an issue. All in all, it's a great bass for a beginner, and I bet you could get going professionally with this, too. I'm not going to say it's as good as a Fender, but you could probably get 3 of these for the price of one Fender.

my first bass, but my 10th guitar
I had $100 to blow in Amazon gift cards and have been wanting a cheap bass for a while, so I gave it a shot. The blue colored bass seems to actually be an entirely different model of bass than the others. Look at the pictures and notice the pick guard, shape of bass and even the brand name I'm pretty sure is different.Well, I live on the wild side, so I picked the oddball blue version. The other reviews seem pretty accurate about it being a very good beginners bass, very light in weight, stays in tune very nice, and needed neck adjustment upon receiving. The neck adjustment wasn't difficult. It comes with allen wrenches, just like any other guitar usually does. Learn how to adjust it yourself from a youtube video, or take it to be professionally set up for probably $20. I don't have a ton of experience with neck adjustments and I think I did a good job.Product came in flawless condition, well packed, on time with the regular ground delivery. Took about a week to get here.If you're a complete beginner, intermediate player on a budget, or you just want a cheap bass to **** around with, I don't think this is a bad choice at all.I don't even own an amp, so I can't say anything about the pick ups or electronics. I'm just assuming if I plugged it in, it would work and sound o.k.

Excellent Bass for the Price
I've had this bass for a couple of weeks now and I gotta say I really like it.The Bass is beautiful and has a nice finish, there is a spot on the body where it looks kinda dull but I'm ok with that. The Factory setup was ok but I ended up doing my own setup anyways, I lowered the string action and adjusted the pickup height, I also dialed in the intonation. it was my first time setting up a Bass guitar and honestly it wasn't that hard, I just watched a couple youtube videos and did a couple online searches and found the right specs.I think this Bass sounds just as good as some $300+ Basses I've tried before.Would I recommend this Bass? ABSOLUTELY!Update:After a few days using the bass I noticed that one of the pickups was extremely noisy so I ended up returning the bass.Amazon was amazing as usual and issued a refund right away.I probably just got a bad one because I haven't read many reviews complaining of noisy pickups so I would still give this bass a try.

The Blue Bass is a bit different.
It's a full size bass, the "gig bag" is flimsy but I guess it's better than carrying the guitar out in the open. I believe the strings it came with are a standard gauge but I didn't really care for the feel and after playing for an hour I noticed it left black marks on my fingertips. Otherwise the guitar is decent quality. I bought it to learn on with Rocksmith 2014 and it seems to work ok.I had to crank up the gain on Rocksmith to get it adequately recognized by the program but after I did that it worked fine. My only other complaint about the bass is that the input jack is on the bottom edge of the guitar and while sitting down it tends to dig into my leg. They provided me with an angled input cable which would be fine, except that for Rocksmith I have to use their cable. All in all it seems fine for a beginner like myself, but a few minor points are less than optimal (no fault of the manufacturer or seller though).

BUY THIS IT IS AMAZING
This sucker is the best purchase I’ve ever made. I bought it when I had the flu, changed to some higher quality strings, and got really good at bass. I’ve played a lot of basses but even some high quality fender jazz basses don’t sound as good as this one. It surprised me because it is clearly presented as the cheaper option but it seriously is amazing quality and the knobs sound fantastic as well

Overall, an excellent beginner bass for the money
Recognizing that this is a beginner guitar, for the price this product deserves 5 stars. I bought this guitar for my teenage son and was very pleasantly surprised.Worked great out of the box after tuning. Basic strings are not bad at all. Headstock and tuning keys are very basic but overall they choose the right places to save costs. Maple neck and fretboard are much nicer than I expected, as was the wood grain body design pattern. Bridge is fine. Frets were all well-installed though you should still check for sharp corners (I found one small, insignificant barb.)The pickups are a bit cheap-looking, but seem to sound just fine and can be easily swapped out once your beginner can tell the difference. After reading many many reviews, this seemed like the best bet and we were very pleasantly surprised at the value of this guitar for the money.
