Essential for shipping or selling used CPUs
If you do a lot of PC building or you’re like us and tend to have a few spare CPUs sitting in a drawer, these Daarcin Clamshell Cases are a lifesaver. We picked them up because shipping a CPU without the original retail box is always a nerve-wracking experience—one bent pin and the chip is basically a paperweight. The "honeycomb" thick plastic feels a lot more durable than the flimsy ones you sometimes get with tray processors. They snap shut securely, though we usually throw a small piece of tape on the side just to be 100% sure they don’t pop open during shipping. We were also glad to see that they actually fit AM5 chips perfectly, even though a lot of the older listings only mention AM4 and below. The included antistatic bags and labels are a nice touch that makes everything look much more professional when you're selling on Marketplace or eBay. It shows the buyer you actually care about the hardware. For a 10-pack, it’s a small price to pay for the peace of mind that your pins aren't going to get crushed in a padded envelope. Definitely a "must-have" for any tech drawer.

Seems to provide great protection!
Fit was great! Seems to be harder plastic which gives me confidence nothing will be damaged. Highly recommend.

If you need to store/ship a cpu
Gives you so many of them and there in such great condition and quality.

Does the job
Inexpensive and does the job of protecting the cpu pins. Needed to sell a cpu and wanted a clam-shell container like this to protect the cpu during shipping. The clamshell fits the cpu well, however it doesn’t close very well and pops apart easily. So, I had to tape it closed. The included static bags and labels were a great complement to the containers.

Bare dimms only
Quality is on par with what I see when I buy memory from big names. Fit was perfect. These only work for dimms that have no heatsink. That is what I had, so exactly what I needed.

Unimpressive, very flimsy and will not accommodate SDRAMs with heatsinks
First of all, I was very impressed with the CPU clamshells I purchased from this brand, but the SDRAM clamshells are very thin and flimsy, so I do not see how they provide any protection for SDRAMs. Furthermore, if your SDRAMs have any sort of heatsink, they will not fit in these clamshells - ex. G.Skill Ripjaws. The clamshells came with antistatic bags, which will obviously accommodate 1 SDRAM stick with or without heatsink, 2 SDRAM sticks without heatsinks, but will not accommodate 2 SDRAM sticks with heatsinks. The 2 sticks will overlap. My thought was to store SDRAM "pairs" in an antistatic bag, but the "height" of SDRAMs with heatsinks prove to be too much for the "width" of the antistatic bags. In fairness, after getting these, I checked to see what else might be available on Amazon and beyond. All that appear to be out there look exactly like the ones I've received, so I really can't blame this "brand." I was hoping to find something like the thick "blister packs" in which memories often come - 2 stick capacity with enough room to accommodate the "height" of memories with heatsinks. Nope, not out there, as far as I can tell. Before anyone starts bagging on me, yes I have kept the original blister packs or packaging for every "component" I've purchased. But, I have memories from "pre-built" computers that I've broken down. A word of advice to novice computer builders - ALWAYS keep your packaging and boxes. They really increase the value if you ever try to sell the "components" in the future.

decent
fits as marketed, sorta overpriced for it just being plastic and an antistatic bag

Good quality, works with AM5
good quality. Works with AM5 chips despite the marketing not indicating this
