Akko V3 Creamy Yellow Pro Keyboard Switch with Dustproof Stem for Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, 5-Pin 50gf Linear Switches (45pcs)

Akko switches are very hit or miss with me. I've owned several sets of the much-lauded Akko Rosewood switches, and I can't stand them (thocky but SUPER muted in every board I've used them in, kind of mushy/sluggish, stems are too fat for most keycaps and make swapping keycaps an incredibly frustrating chore), unless I need something super quiet in a very loud spacebar. On the other hand, Akko Stellar Rose switches are some of my favorite (smooth, poppy, deep creamy clack). These creamy blue V5s have turned out to be an incredible offering from Akko. Though I typically prefer linears, I do like a tactile now and again because they remind me of the old keyboards I used to type on, when I fell in love with typing to begin with. These have a light-medium actuation force, but because of the force needed to get over that tactile bump, they do tend to make my fingers feel more tired during longer typing sessions. I think training my fingers to be accustomed to applying more pressure over the course of a week will probably fix that. And can we just talk about the packaging for a second? While not the most premium I've ever seen, Akko has really stepped up their game. They used to house their switches in a clear plastic tray (which stopped them from moving around too much), housed in a plain, black cardboard box, and then slid into a printed cardboard sleeve. They've done away with the internal cardboard box and now the plastic trays are housed in a rigid, white plastic tray that snaps together. Those then slip into a printed cardboard box. So basically, they've done away with the black cardboard box and the printed cardboard sleeves. It now makes me want to keep every Akko switch set I buy instead of recycling the packaging because it's so nice and premium-feeling. The sound is just pure heaven. In a foamy board, they produce a slightly chalky, creamy, medium-pitched thud with a distinct pop when the switch tops out. It's so many of the things I like in a switch sound, all rolled into one. Tactiles tend to be very loud, and that's one of the main reasons why I don't use them more frequently, since I work in an environment with colleagues and patients walking around at all times - I'm really not trying to start a war with my loud, distracting keyboard sounds. These are a very acceptable volume. They're loud enough to give you some pleasant auditory feedback to accompany the tactile feedback, but not so loud that you can feel your eardrums rattling each time you press a key (and I do have some tactile switches in my collection that actually do that). I would say that they're at least twice as loud as Akko Rosewoods, which is what I would have wanted out of Rosewoods (side note, if they could make Rosewoods with the same overall pitch, but make them louder and less mushy, they would be so, so pleasant to type on). The light diffusers on the front of the switches make RGB really shine in any board that has it, and I'm pleased to report that the blue color of the switch doesn't interfere with the color of the LEDs at all. Stems, like with almost all Akko switches, are a bit on the fat side, so although these are not as big of an offender of making it nearly impossible to pull off a keycap without also ripping out a switch, they do require a little more effort to pull off, and you do still run the risk of pulling out a switch when removing these, depending on which keycaps you're using. Chubby stems aside, I think I've found my new go-to tactile switch in these, and bonus, they're priced so well. Under $13 for a pack of 45 switches is an excellent value for something that I can't stop typing on (they're one of the reasons why this review is so long, since I'm currently typing on them). They're positively addictive to type on!

I'm using these switches on my Womier RD75 Pro keyboard with the stock mods (foam and PET film), and I'm extremely impressed. The noise level is perfect for my preference. The sound quality is very thocky and super satisfying without being too loud. The tactility is noticeable, but not overwhelming, which makes long typing sessions very comfortable. The switches look and feel great. The factory lube is smooth and consistent across all switches, creating a premium typing experience right out of the box. The keyboard functionality and overall responsiveness are amazing. Every key press feels snappy and reliable. The RGB shine-through is bright and clean. The brightness levels pair nicely with the switch housings and really enhance the overall looks of the keyboard. Setup was very simple as well. The ease of setup was definitely a plus for me. Since these are my first Akko switches, I cannot speak on the longevity yet, but I will be updating this review over time. For now, I can confidently say I am very satisfied, and I would absolutely buy these switches again for future builds. Great job Akko!

This review is for the V5 Creamy Blues. Great tactile with loud bottoming out sound. Feels almost like a rubberdome, but in a good way. Has some initial resistance so that the key doesn't move just by barely grazing it with your fingers, which I like. No loud click or internal click mechanism. Nice soft resistance to make typing feel better and to make pressing keys feel deliberate. I've bought many of these sets now to replace multiple keyboards' switches, and all lots have been very consistent. I've used mechanical keyboards for over a decade, including nice Filco and Ducky boards. I had thought Cherry MX were the best top of the line reference switches, but after getting a new hot swap keyboard on sale and putting these in it, it's crazy how much better, more stable, and more affordable a great keyboard setup is these days. Very different from dropship group buys on forums from years past!

Decent light tactile switch with a good price. I would describe the sound as creamy, not too noisy but not quiet either. For me, personally, these don't have enough of a bump or spring resistance to feel satisfying. RGB isn't a make or break proposition for me but the housing color changes the color that reaches your keycaps, white light will result in a pink hue. I will keep these around to potentially use in another board but I moved to Panda switches for daily use on my main board to give the stronger feedback to match my personal preference. If you want a cheap light tactile switch and don't care about the RGB issues then this is a good choice.

These Pink Creamy switches are a great choice for anyone who likes a smooth and soft typing feel. They have a light actuation that makes each keypress feel effortless, and the “creamy” texture really stands out—there’s no scratchiness at all. The sound is gentle and satisfying, giving a quiet thock that isn’t too loud but still feels premium. These switches also come well-lubed from the factory, so you don’t need to do much modding to get a good experience. Overall, these switches offer a smooth, comfortable, and beginner-friendly typing experience that makes them perfect for gaming, writing, or everyday use. Super easy to remove and apply aswell.

Amazing switches for my first keyboard build, very creamy indeed. Paired with the Monsgeek M1, force break mod, 3 layers of tape mod, and poron case foam, this just sounds like heaven. The tactile feeling is very pronounced and satisfying and the super light operating force and low travel makes it so fast to type on. I haven’t tried a lot of other keyboards, but this switch just makes typing so satisfying in terms of both feel and sound. This is my second time achieving 170+ wpm (not very consistent, have to get pretty lucky with the words i’m given but I can achieve 150 wpm 100% accuracy often now) and both times have been on this keyboard. I previously used the RK M75 with fast silver switches and these switches feel so much faster (given its operating force is 18g lighter than the silvers) and more satisfying that my typing speed and accuracy has improved a lot (but this also comes with me typing a lot more). All in all, this is an amazing budget tactile switch that sounds great by default but paired with some tape and foam it will provide the creamiest thock you've ever heard.

For my personal preferences these are the PERFECT switch. medium light tactile switch with a PRONOUNCED tactile bump spanning from the top of the keystroke almost all the way to the bottom. farther down than the durock t1's or holy pandas. very little stem wobble. very very good build quality. sound is amazing, a balance of creamy and clacky. super super satisfying typing on these.

I have 60% keyboard and I wanted much more quieter keycaps. I love the sound and how the tactile caps feel. They are very durable and haven’t given me any issues at all.
