I bought this as a gift for my pops for his 2004 Chevy Silverado Z71 and he couldn't be happier!!! I installed this for him in about 5 minutes and the pre-drilled holes lined up perfectly! I'm kicking myself for not taking a picture of it in the daylight but trust me, it looks awesome!!! Don't trust the fitment as it says it doesn't fit this truck,,, IT'S WRONG!!! It fits perfect and required zero alteration or extra work. Simply install the square barrel nuts into the square holes already in the hood, line up the holes on the deflector, install the screw and rubber grommet one at a time starting with the 2 outer holes, then the 2 centers and WALLAH,,, you're all done. Legit only takes about 5 minutes. I honestly think I spent more time opening the box and packaging then I did on the actual installation!!! This product deserves 10 stars!!!

I ordered this product for my 2005 Chevrolet Silverado. Keep in mind this will not work on a 2006 Silverado 1500 or any 2500HD/3500HD Silverado. The hoods are not the same, even though they look as though they are. It appeared the UPS truck had used the box mine came in as a wheel chuck, but it was intact and in acceptable condition. It was extremely easy to install, requiring only a phillips head screwdriver and about 10 minutes of time. There are plastic push-in inserts that fit perfectly into pre-existing holes in the trucks hood. After installing them, you simply use the provided screws, screwing each of them into the inserts. Perfect fit, and low profile. It adds protection to your hood to prevent rock chips from destroying your paint. At the price, I couldn't ask for a better product. I would definitely purchase this product again.

Since 2003 I have been driving Chevy Avalanche trucks. I have had "bug shields" on every one, replacing as needed (more than the average person I suppose due to cracks, peeling or damaged, etc). I have had GM branded ones bought from the dealer to "house" brands at various auto parts stores. This was different from the moment I opened the box! The look and feel were of quality and the mounting holes were spot on aligned. It sits a little farther away from the hood that most but that has turned out to be a huge benefit for snow and ice removal. There is something about the shape / curves and lines of it that looks great and compliments the truck. It truly brings more than just function. I think I will be sticking with AVS brand from now on.

I would have given it 5 stars but it had a couple of scuff marks on it. It must have been a returned item maybe. It was easy to install and was shipped pretty quickly and was a good fit.

Bought this to replace an older one. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition with all the hardware included. The predrilled holes lined right up with the factory holes in the hood and it fits the shape of everything nicely. I really like the low profile look and the dark tint matched my window vents perfectly. It’s pretty solid and seems like it could handle a few branches here and there if you’re going off road. It doesn’t flex, rattle or shake at all doing 70-75 down the highway, it stays very firm in place. I’d definitely recommend this to everyone. It was an excellent buy.

Got exactly what I wanted

When I was searching for a 1500 deflector I couldn’t make any sense of the descriptions, and the reviews were all over the place on fitment. So, I’m going to clarify things. There are different hoods for these trucks, the buyers complaining that this deflector is too short or the bolt holes don’t line up have the high rise hood, originally from a 2500. The ones complaining other deflectors are too high and doesn’t fit right have the low rise 1500 bonnet. This one is the low rise for the 1500 bonnet and it fits perfectly. If you have the 2500 bonnet this isn’t the one you want, the bolt holes won’t line up, it’ll be sloppy where the headlights meet, and it’ll be too short. I hope this helps solve confusion, as these website pictures and descriptions aren’t specific enough.
