Q: Has anyone actually made any of these tops? Are they easy to make and correct size wise? Good for a beginner?

My husband is an RN, so I made him about 20 scrub tops using this pattern. I think it is relatively easy to sew, and it seems to run true to size, if you measure first. I had to adjust the pocket process. If done the way they suggest, there are too many layers to sew through easily. I make the top, then add the pocket afterwards (I did the seams all the way around the pockets and then sewed them on to the finished top. The one with the overlap is a little easier to sew.

Q: Do you sew by hand or a sewing machine

A sewing machine is preferred for garment construction. It would be possible by hand but very difficult.

Q: Is there a size chart for reference anywhere?

I recall ther was s,m,l sort of thing with some measurements. I have a 33" waist and 40 reg rope and I made the small and the rise was low, legs long to fit was generous. Fit is easy to fix. I made as p.j.s.
