BROTHER SA135 Overlock Vertical Foot

Damit brauche ich keine Overlock-Maschine.

This foot works perfectly with my Brother JX2217. This foot is a blessing : overlocking is now so easy to do on my machine. The fabric just glides through the foot and it's not a bummer anymore. If you're hesitating : go for it! You'll definitely not regret it. It's also cheaper than the ones they sell on the Brother official Website. Win/win ! ------------------------------ Ce pied fonctionne parfaitement avec ma Brother JX2217. C'est aussi une merveille : les points de surjets sont maintenant très faciles à réaliser sur ma machine. Le tissu glisse sans effort sous le pied et ça rend la tâche vraiment plus facile. N'hésitez surtout pas à l'acheter, vous ne le regretterez pas! Le pied est également moins cher que ceux en vente sur le site officiel de Brother. C'est parfait!

I broke my overlock foot that came with my machine (marked G) after accidentally choosing the wrong stitch width. The force of the needle was enough to snap the small metal bar that used to separate the left and right side of the stitches. I ordered this replacement foot and it seems to work fine, but it is different in design from the other foot. It has a large metal spatula that sits perpendicular to the fabric and overhangs the front of the foot. This part is much larger than the former metal bar on the old foot. There is also a larger/wider metal bar that separates the left and right stitches so there is probably no danger of it snapping again if the needle were to hit it again. Overall, I think it's an improvement over the old foot.

A family member gave me a Brother sewing machine because she never used it (my main machine is an old metal viking, I'd never used a Brother). She bought it at Costco, it didn't come with anything but a bobbin, a needle, and a presser foot. I have no idea what model it is. I purchased this foot and just hoped it would fit. It fits great! It was easy to install. The stitches look wonderful. Given I went into this blind I couldn't have hoped for better. A great, solid, smooth foot!
