It is a wooden box! The dimensions met my needs. I ordered it. I received a well-constructed box in black. Smooth, no rough edges. The quality of the finish is excellent for the price paid. One reviewer commented the lid has no restraint and falls backward. Not true. there is a ribbon placed to anchor the lid to the box. The icing on the cake would be the ribbon was black...then I realized the box is offered in a range of colours and off white works with them all.

The media could not be loaded.  Loved the quality of the box. Worked out wonderfully for our son’s science project.

Perfect size and style for my needs. However, it seriously needs a good sanding as the entire box is rough.

Box feels likes it’s made of extremely cheap material. The box was delivered broken at the hinges. Definitely not worth the price.

Generally a nice wooden box. But my box arrived cracked. It was cracked during assembly or shortly thereafter. Perhaps because that area of the corner miters were not glued and things were able to move.First ding is the box arrived cracked and in places is not glued.Second ding is the bottom isn't as think as the rest of the box. It's built like a typical drawer: a very thin sheet of material in a groove.A third minor ding is the top of mine was marred, box was dropped or something dropped onto it and there's a one inch scuff and dent that will need filling if I want the top smooth for painting. Sanding will fix the scuff (loose wood fibers around the dent); but the dent itself is too deep.

I purchased this to contain my friend's cremains. My husband added beautiful bass latch, whch made it perfect for this use.

Die Box ist gut verarbeitet und sauber verleimt. Ich habe mehrere Boxen gekauft und mir ist aufgefallen das an der Rückseite immer eine größere Stelle ist die die Holzbeize schlechter an nimmt. War am Anfang etwas irritiert wegen der runden Ecken welche auf den Fotos nicht so gut erkennbar sind. Aber dann macht man halt was draus. Ich habe vor dem anbringen der Füße einfach nur einen Bandbeschlag angebracht um ein unansehnliches Abstehen zu vermeiden. Ansonsten ist ist die Box echt von guter Qualität und werde sie mir wieder kaufen. Daumen hoch, empfehlenswert.
