Using for metal casting mold

It's the best deal I could find for blank ingot moulds. Just be aware that when go to mill it out - it powders up instantly and gets EVERYWHERE unless your vacuuming it up and have a fine enough filter it doesn't get through. On the flip side - you can use that powdered up graphite as key/lock lubricant in all your household, vehicle, misc. Locks you have. If any are feeling sticky get some powder in there or put it on the key and go in n out a few times and viola! Or use for gray base wash on your sketches, spreads easily. Block is a little shallow but as long as you're aware of the dimensions there's nothing wrong with this product.

I use the graphite bar as the anode when cleaning cast iron. It does not accumulate debris or degrade as badly as a steel object like a piece of rebar. It’s a nice size to use for most frying pans and griddles. It’s a little more delicate but just be careful. Pretty much all car battery chargers are automatic now so you may have to get a variable dc power supply which is available through Amazon. You have to decide how fanatical you are about cleaning cast iron because this is kind of pricey to do just one item. But it does do an amazing job.
