Q: What size eyelets do I need to buy to use with this?

It comes with 20 - 3/16 eyelets. This is indicated in the product description. I have made a few tags and the punch works perfectly! I am very impressed with this punch and very happy to have it! 5 Stars from me!

Q: how big exactly is the actual tag?

The tag is rectangular 1.5" wide x 2 1/4" high. The actual rectangle size would be 1.5" x 2" but the area to punch the hole is a bit extra

Q: Can you see where you are cutting? Is there a window or a clear window to see through?

Not a window. I usually flip it over to make sure I'm making a good cut, since I make multiple cuts per sheet of cardstock. Once you get the hang of how it cuts, it's pretty easy to gauge placement.

Q: Can this ben used on cotton fabric?

It can be used on standard paper and thin cardboard, it is not recommended for fabric. Thank you for your great question.
