Quality mechanical pencil
Works beautifully. I love the design feature of the grade of graphite engraved on the clip that you turn to the arrow printed on the pencil. The sharpener in the top is a nice feature too. My mum used these for her professional illustration when I was growing up, and didn’t need to replace one in 40 years, which is great durability and value for money. The textured metal grip makes it easy to use and I just hope mine lasts as long as my mum’s.

Amazing pencil
One of the best pencil ever! So light and comfortable to hold and write with! I don't even feel I have a pencil in my hand, so light it is! I don't draw, but I am a student and I am writing a lot. The only drawback is that the inscription on it is fading over time. Had one for 5 years and the Staedler inscription faded quite quickly, after a few uses but that's the only negative feedback i can think of. A very good pencil, I recommend.

Blast from the past
Had one of these in the 89s for school work. Design very similar except for the sharpener. The old model I recall has a sharpener like a claw in the end cap.. the dust from sharpener just drifted away. This one is again contained I. The end cap but is internal. Use it and you have a concentrated pile of dust to dispose of. I’ve got into the habit of tapping it into a tissue now, but before that I was getting dust fall out onto desk and paperwork making a right mess. So, a great mech pencil if you have the tolerance to deal with the sharpening dust :)

Better than I thought, perfect even.
Nice solid metal end to this clutch pencil. I read good things about these but someone said it flexed when drawing, well what utter nonsense. Sure you might not want to drive over it with a forklift but in normal use this is the perfect pencil for artists or anyone needing a pencil.I like the built in sharpener and being a clutch pencil means it easy to have a longer lead for freer sketching. The free rubber is also good.It's just a shame they don't make them in a range of colours so you could see at a glance between lead softness without having to look at the indicator...
