lightweight and strong
The bar for holding the stairs folded while underway is only on one side. If it fails by wearing through, the stairs could land on the highway at 60+ miles per hour, destroying the stairs. We suggest installing an aluminum bar on both sides, or holding the stairs closed with a ratcheting strap or bungee. After hearing the stories of the cheaper units failing, we are glad that we got this one.
