Hardback compact book, small print, pages are semi see through but not the worst quality, full catholic bible with book mark ribbon. I was led to believe by the reviews that this bible had a zipped cover and tabs. It does not. I'm not sure which bible they were reviewing.

I love this little Bible! It’s difficult enough as it is finding Catholic Bibles, so this small pocket sized one is very handy. Font is small but very clear to read. Comes in nice leather type pocket case (book is sewn in so watch the spine), and a small metal medallion. I like how it has an appendix after the Old Testament and after the New Testament. The zip isn’t one of those cheap annoying ones that stick either! Also there is small room for some papers to be stored in here for your own notes. It does fit Bible tabs but you do have to cut them down to size so they don’t crumple up when zipping the case.

This is the RSV Catholic edition, so you can bring your books of Wisdom and Tobit with you on holiday. The compact size is achieved with thin paper and a small typeface.

A well designed, compact bible - the one drawback is the very small print.

What a wonderful Bible to have. The first thing that stands out is its size: it is easy to carry around, and the fact that it is a hardcover makes it more durable and suited for the purpose. It is also a "family Bible", with several pages added to it at the front, with pages to commemorate Baptism, Confirmation, First Communion, Matrimony, the names of siblings, children and grandchildren, making it a very personal item to own. Some have noted the small print: I estimate it around 8-9pts. With glasses on I have no difficulty reading it, in fact the print is much more convenient to read than some of the pocket-sized Bibles I have owned in the past. There are dividers between chunks of scripture throughout, which makes devotional reading much easier. The divisions, if I am correct, roughly correspond to how the Lectionary would divide up the text. There are appendices at both the end of the Old and the New Testament, offering brief explanations of starred verses. At the very back of the book is a short collection of devotional prayers, such as the Apostle's Creed, the Anima Christi, or the De Profundis; and it also lists the mysteries of the Holy Rosary with Bible readings for each, making this Bible a very useful personal devotional tool as well. I originally bought this as a gift, but I think I will be buying a copy for myself as well, along with a few other spares to give away – fortunately the price is very reasonable!

I love this little bible. The cover is realistic imitation leather, not that “ leather soft” rubbery feel like others. Gilded edges, good zipper with miraculous medal ( could have been metal rather than plastic, but ok). I didn’t realise there would be an appendix with the verses marked with an asterisk having a reference in the back. The font is small but surprisingly clear and easy to read. There is a family Bible section in the front and I like the way it’s all laid out. There is a little ghosting through the pages but they’re not as tissue thin as I’d have expected in such a compact edition. Feels nice in the hand and is a great size for taking to Holy Hour and Exposition. It’s the RSV translation which is easily readable without compromising on faithfulness to the original text. Very pleased!

I have several Bibles and I know how not-portable Catholic Bibles usually are. I needed a small Bible that I can bring everywhere I go. At first I was hesitating to buy this Bible because of the zipper. But now that I have it in my hands, the zipper is actually smooth and doesn’t make that annoying sound like the sound I heard from my other Bible that also has a zipper (the zipper is not silent! It does make sound but not “the” annoying sound). I know it doesn’t sound like a big deal, but for me it does! Because I don’t want to cringe every time I use the zipper. The font size is small but it’s readable. I’m very happy with this compact Bible! Especially because it’s RSV-CE. I recommend this Bible for travellers. This Bible has: - Dogmatic Constitution - List of measures and weights in the Bible - Useful footnotes - Appendixes in the back of Old and New Testaments - Prayers and devotions This Bible doesn’t have: - Maps - Bookmark ribbons (hence I’ve made my own) I’ve made my own ribbons: pink for Old Testament, and blue for New Testament. Era da un sacco che cercavo una Bibbia in inglese come la CEI 74 e finalmente ho trovato questa! Mi è arrivata prima del previsto nonostante fosse spedita dall’America (ci ha messo 5 giorni). Arrivata perfettamente intatta e nuova. È piccola, le pagine sono molto sottili e quindi un po’ delicate però ci sta. È piccola ma non troppo. In generale sono moooolto contenta!!

Pages are very thin and I am unreasonably nervous about the zip breaking. The nature of the design means it is hard to flick through pages and keen open without fear of breaking the spine. I am happy with my purchase though, I use it to go on trips and have the word of God with me

Received the bible in very good condition . Compact and very nice. Fonts are small but very readable .
