This was a pricey little jig but it came with a drill bit and misc. extra pieces. It is well made with metal bushings in the holes and should last through a lot of installs. Great time saver when doing multiples but not worth it if just doing one or two installs.

Does what it is made for. Can't say a whole lot about this little guy. It's accurate and happy to have the template.

Certainly makes it easier to install slides, but absurdly expensive. You also need the other kit from BLUM with the 2.5mm bit extension, otherwise you cannot get your drill into the holes to install the undermount clips. Couldn't include that here for the $50, especially considering you cannot use the template w/o the extension? I'm sure if you are a pro cabinet maker this is a no-brainer, but as a home owner this was a lot to shell out after already paying top dollar for the slides. Blum certainly makes great slides, and I am happy to pay good $$ for a good product, but 2 extra kits for $50 each to get the job done just feels like a money grab!

It does what it's designed for but a bit expensive for what it is. I wouldn't have felt as bad spending that much for a jig if it included both drill bits you need. $30 more for the drill bit set hurts.

Excellent quality, design engineering, and product, but not cost effective for other than a cabinet shop with consistently large projects. The Blum install manual (online) gives all the necessary dimensions and tolerances you need and the only piece from this kit that is actually needed is the stop collar for the 6mm drill bit so you don't drill through the drawer side (blind hole) and the drill bits offered by Blum are perfect for the purpose. I ended up purchasing the drill set (2 ea) and a stop collar, and that is all you really need along with the tech data sheet and a good scale for marking the 6 mm hole location. Blum slides are the very best in the industry and are engineered so well with built in tolerance so that with good layout and a the proper tools (punch, pilot drill/countersink, 6mm drill and stop collar) a reasonably skilled person can install the slides all day long without this tool and the 2 other recommended kit purchases. If Blum were to package all the necessary tools in one kit (this jig, stop collar, 6mm drill) and reduce the price significantly it could be cost effective on a small project. Otherwise, unless you are a cabinet shop which large production running parallel processes, it is not necessary or cost effective. I installed 14 drawers sets in 3 island cabinets in just over a day without the tool and the install was simple and I easily achieved perfect drawer alignment. Making careful measurements and predrilling etc. is NOT considered 'winging it' as one reviewer stated. It is a necessary skill you should challenge yourself with and you'll save yourself almost $100 (3 separate kit items 'needed'/available) on a small project versus buying the jig, drill extension kit, and 6 mm drills.
