My cat is a very light eater and I'm constantly in search of food to bolster her appetite. I took a chance with this as she doesn't really like fish (she used to like a sardine topping a few years ago then suddenly took a violent dislike to it) but thought that tuna disguised in chicken might make a nice change. I was right and she ate half of one of the little pots in the morning and the rest at night with some hypoallergenic dried food at lunch. So why the four stars rather than five? Unfortunately this is a complimentary food, not a complete food. Though it looks like a proper meal, it is described as a treat on the packaging. My furry monster already has treats in the form of Dreamies, the equivalent of cat cocaine. I'll continue to feed this to my cat occasionally for variety but would really prefer to find another complete meal that she'll enjoy.

The food is a top food, but my cats don't know what's good for them, when I first put it down, they loved it, but my awkward two are very strange! But they will eat eat it with a topper on it, weird cats my 2 l

We own 3 cats, two of whom will eat absolutely anything.. I've found pouches of cat food which have been dragged from the kitchen upstairs and destroyed. Our other cat is so fussy, she will lick the jelly or gravy from food and leave the meat, she eats the dried food quite a lot but I like my 3 to have some meat in their diet. We have tried all sorts of food for our fussy pussy, even food from the vets but she just will not eat it. Due to her being a "licker" we bought the new soups from whiskas and felix but she turned her nose up at it. So we bought applaws, we weren't expecting her to eat every last scrap!!!! She's gone from eating less than 10g of wet food per day to 85g!! And when she has finished with one pot she gives us a cry looking for more! It's amazing just to watch her eat. I can't say that it will appeal to everyone's fussy cat, but our little one loved it and we buy it especially for her now. Very happy.

This is expensive for me. However, I use it to top or mix in with perfectly mid priced food which has been rejected by my new second hand fussy big cat. Once he gets used to the new flavour he settles down and eats it regularly As manufacturers often change their recipes ... often in different sized packs ... I keep these in my cupboard all the time now Can't bear to see wasted food even in a cat dish.

I had been recommended to feed my pedigree cat on either Encore or Applaws cat food, and have been buying Encore pouches for some time. However when my regular supermarket stopped stocking it I looked for an online source and found Applaws at a more competitive price on Amazon for slightly larger portions. Basically the Encore food worked out at 78p per pouch at my supermarket (more online with Amazon!) for a 50g sachet, and Applaws works out at 68p for a 60g sachet. Both products are 100% natural, both are devoured by my cat. Both products are plastic packaging inside a cardboard box, but the Encore pouches are not recyclable and the Applaws ones are (theoretically!). So taking all this into account Applaws gets my vote so long as the price remains competitive.
