Q: whats the difference between the 50 gal and the 100 gal unit? ( dont tell me its 50 gallons difference) lol

It took me a while working with RO systems to figure this out and other comments I've seen on this topic are useless. The difference is in the REPLACEABLE membrane. The 100 gpd version allows for more flow, therefore producing twice the water in the same amount of time but doesn't filter as well due to the faster water movement through the system. There is no difference in the PVC housing between the 50 and 100 gpd versions. Cheaper to by the 50 gallon version and buy a generic 100 gpd membrane separately.

Q: Will this work with a salt water aquarium?

Yes, these work just fine for saltwater. For best purity i would get the 4stage with the DI and you'll get 0 TDS. RO only you will probably get between 3-20 tds. This is a budget friendly unit, does a good job. You always have good, better, best, so this is at the bottom but it's better then buying water from grocery store and much better then tap water. So really just depends on your budget and if you need a light portable unit like this, or if a full sized unit is ok. Full size will cost you a little more but the replacement filters are standard and usually less expensive.

Q: Is there a way to hook this up to a regualr bathroom sink or a bathtub? I went to home depot, and could not find anything.
