Bought because my new front door which is a super dooper solid security bolted door, has no handle and if it shuts behind you there is no way back in!! So I needed a key holder for a spare key, so if we got locked out we could get back in! It’s suppose to be recommend by the police, but I’m sure any thief worth his salt probably knows how these work! However, one would like to think that it would actually take a while for the key to be acquired and hopefully with a new high tech security system that all would be well! It is solid enough. The setting of it seems a bit fiddly, and indeed the buttons are wobbly and small. But it’s been used by several family members to get into the house not because of being locked out but because they visited when we weren’t there and they could use it to access the house using the key. It has worked each time. You key in the number, (I used six digits as this is more harder to work out apparently) hold the central button down and it opens. When you leave the central buttons go you can’t put the little door back on as it goes back into lock position so you have to key in the number again and hold central buttons down again to replace door. It holds my front door key and probably room for a couple more, but not large long keys. I have one of those keys that are coded and you need a security key card In order for the cobblers to send off to get another one. Size a little bigger than a Yale. I’ve become paranoid with making sure I have a key with me every time I go near the door. Although if a key is left in the lock on the inside you still can’t get in! Anyway it’s peace of mind to know it’s there I feel needed.

A small key safe, with good reviews around durability. Will only fit 2-3 keys on a simple key chain.Good instructions for instillation.

I only needed the keypad front cover for this as it replaced a previous keysafe where the keypad malfunctioned. It fitted perfectly.
