It works but remember there's no leverage on this like there is with other wine keys. So, you'll need to muscle the cork out once you get it screwed in.

This is what I wanted exactly - for EDC, travels, picnics, and campouts - just to carry a corkscrew, just in case. It isn't easy to use, but I can make it work. The minimalist design seems ingenious to me - but for occasional use only, for when unplanned occasions arise, not for bartending or waiting.

The idea is great, and the opener is very compact. However, the problem I see is with the keychain ring. It takes time and effort to take it apart and put it back together. If they could use a carabiner or another better mechanism, it would greatly improve the item. The second issue is with the handle. It’s very thin, so it’s hard to pull the cork out without hurting your hand. But using a towel or a t-shirt as padding should help fix this. Overall, it’s a good, compact solution for having a bottle opener on the go.

The two pieces are both on the keyring, which makes separating them to assemble for use a bit annoying. Once assembled it does work, but not the most convenient tool for the job. It'll work in a pinch as a backup.

Works well and hasn't attracted scrutiny from airport security. I transferred it to a regular size keyring to make it easier to remove.
