Q: Is this the soy free formula? The the label in the picture says it is but the written info says it contains soy. Thank you.

The formula I bought was the 100mg/120 capsules and does have soy in it. I noticed the label on this one is 100 mg / 60 SOFTGELS. If you go to www.jarrow.com, they may be able to answer your question. It's quite possible if you specifically order the PS100 labeled "NO SOY", that's what you'll get. I swear by this product. It's literally saved my mind. Alzheimer's runs on my Dad's side of the family and my two older sisters take after him. I thought I had Alzheimer's but all those serious memory problems cleared up and remain behind me as long as I take this product. Good luck on finding your correct answer.

The label says it contains soy. The Jarrow Formulas website: "Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a natural phospholipid and is a component of cell membranes.* Jarrow Formulas® Cogni-PS® is a concentrated form of phosphatidylserine from sunflowers that offers superior stability. It does not contain soy and is not derived from genetically modified organisms (non-GMO)."Sound like they don't know or won't admit where it comes from.The web address: http://www.jarrow.com/product/150/PS

You are exactly right to be concern as Jarrow's is soy based. The ingredients label and website does not provide any additional information, other than calling them but make sure you are talking to a technical person instead of a clerk reading the computer screen. A better alternative is Country Life Phosphatidylserine Complex that is gluten and soy free and there is no magnesium stearate. They use bovine (beef) collagen for capsules. Uses sunflower lecithin. Here again, the medium chain triglycerides (MCT) source is not specified. Do look at the Country Life brand for this PS ingredient.

Q: Are the soft gels liquid filled?

YES. The Softgels are liquid filled from Sunflower. The Capsules are powder from Soybeans. I made the mistake of buying the capsules once. I think the Sunflower works better.
