Q: How can I clean the oxide from the tip of the soldering iron?

I use a damp folded terrycloth rag to wipe the tip when I'm working. Lots of people use a sponge for the same purpose.

Q: Where can I purchase replacement tips?

You could contact the seller, of course, but some Home Depot stores have a decent selection of products-maybe bring it in and see what they have. My local Home Depot carries a lot of what I'll need (including a wide variety of solder gauges).
