the adapter fits on my 5 gallon shop vac and all my vacuum cleaner hoses, but not my large 14 gallon one as that hose is over three inches across, you are ok with a diameter of one to two inches. I love this adapter and am so glad I got it, wish I'd done it long ago.

Q: Does it work on a dyson ball vac?

I used it on a stain stick vac and it was ok...it definitely works better on a vac without the dyson clip though

Q: How stiff is the long blue section? Will it easily curve to get deeper into the dryer or is it stiff snd just goes to the bottom of the slot?

Not very stiff and will probably get stuck in the bottom. I found that it got marginally farther than the stock vacuum hose.
