Yes, this dryer is made in the USA.

Q: does this boot dryer have a fan in it?

Nope it does not have fan. This dryer is the exact same as their original white combination boot and glove dryer it is just black in color. Previously before I bought this one I was thinking about their dryer with the fan I am very pleased with this one. I had a white one by peet for almost 20 years and it worked just fine for me. If you dry boots or shoes too fast that can dry out the material and cause problems with the footwear. This dryer will have my wet Chippewa 17" patrolman motorcycle boots perfectly dry overnight and my wet gloves same thing I wake up every day to dry boots and gloves. Hopefully this is helpful.

It comes with 2 pairs of attachments for footwear (4 total) and 1 pair for gloves.

Q: Does this dryer work for chest and hip waders?

You would need extensions to stretch them out fully, but you could put them on as is to dry the feet.
