This kit is ideal for quick and easy water purification in any desired volume.What most people don't know is that it also serves the purpose of oral hygiene.Chlorine dioxide kills mouth bacteria very effectively. Really good dentists interested in preventive care recommend it, but they usually offer the CLOSYS brand mouthwash that contains chlorine dioxide as its active ingredient. This isn't bad advice, but the store-bought version is premixed, unlike this kit. The fresher the mix, the more potent the chemical effect.So rather than buying it off the shelf, I make it myself. This kit costs about 3 times what a bottle of CLOSYS does, but so far it's lasted me a year. (I use it every 2-3 days.) Even daily use would last longer than three bottles of CLOSYS, so the cost ends up being about the same.And you can't use CLOSYS to purify water in an emergency or while camping, travelling, etc.One last benefit: For those who of us who use prescription bone-building drugs to deal with osteoporosis, a scientific study shows that rinsing with sodium dichloride protects against the rare but serious side-effect of bone degeneration.So my advice is go with this kit!

This stuff is awful. It smells like straight bleach. I unfortunately missed the return deadline so I’m stuck with it but it’s going in the garbage!

I received my product all the way from our northern neighbors in Edmonton, AB Canada. All packages arrived safely and expeditiously. I must admit, following the instructions was simple and it surprised me that the taste was negligible and quite doable. It is convenient to have the container to measure the water to CDS ratio. Besides treating water, the use for CDS has medical value.

Love the way it helps my gut, but would have preferred a different drinking bottle. Current bottle, you must unscrew the top to drink. A bottle allowing you to drink without removing the top would be better.
