I find it hard to fault this excellent grip. Detailed examination establishes it's pretty much identical to its "Nikon" equivalent except for the lack of a Nikon badge. Oh, and the silly price tag. As well as extending working capacity with the extra battery it improves the handling of the D500 body, not that it isn't good to start with. All in all a very solidly made unit at a fraction of the branded label equivalent. Thoroughly recommended. And for the sake of transparency I bought it with my hard-earned readies: it wasn't a freebie!

A friend bought the original from Nikon for £347-00, I compared the Pixel Vertax which is almost three hundred pounds less and couldn't see any difference, I gave both the Nikon original and the Pixel D17 to my pal and asked him not to look at the names and tell me which was which, he couldn't tell. As far as performance goes it does exactly what the original one does, so if you want to be snobby, (like some people are) then buy the Nikon grip for three hundred pounds more.

Great grip works with nikon d7200
Works fine with the Nikon 7200 fast delivery. Well worth the discount over the cost of a Nikon branded version

Excellent
I've been using this grip for about ten weeks now. It has worked flawlessly and it feels every bit as sturdy as the D500. Very happy with it, absolutely nothing to criticise.

Good value
Solid and well put together. I bought a cheaper grip only to find it was for the wrong camera version. I am glad as it was not as sturdy as the Pixel model. It is well worth the money.

Three Stars
I don't understand why Nikon's grip is £349 in the UK. It is just so expensive.
