Fixed!
Got tired of fighting with the VA when my CPAP started making noise. Finally decided to take measures to fix it myself. What a life saver!! Arrived on time, the link to the video instructions were top notch, and about 30 minutes later I had a fully functioning machine and my CPAP problems were over. Works like new now and quieter. Maybe a bit expensive, but the time and effort it saved me more than made up for it. If you think you can’t replace your own motor, you’re mistaken. Try it and thank me later.

Success
I used this motor to replace the motor in my ResMed S9. There are no instructions included in the box. So I followed the directions in the YouTube video titled "RedMed S9 Motor Replacement Tutorial - Motor Life Exceeded" by "CPAP Reviews". Excellent tutorial.I purchased this tool kit from Amazon: "15 in 1 Torx Screwdriver Set with T3 T4 T5 T6 T8 T10 Security Torx screwdriver and ESD tweezers, Magnetic Screwdrivers Precision Repair Kit for Xbox, iPhone, PS4, Macbook, Watch, Electronics". ASIN: B08HT13TDCI needed that tool kit because I didn't have a T10 Torx screwdriver. The screwdriver bits are supposed to be magnetic, but those magnets didn't seem very strong to me. I also didn't have long-nose tweezers. The tweezers come in handy when disconnecting the circuit board of the S9 from the frame. The video discusses this from about 2:00 to 2:50. The content creator makes do with standard tweezers, but I think it's much easier with long-nose tweezers.I didn't keep exact track of how long it took me to replace the motor. If I had to guess, maybe an hour. I didn't think it was too difficult to change the motor. It was definitely easier to change this motor than it was to change the battery in my iPhone 5s a several years ago.I used my CPAP machine last night and everything seems totally fine. One downside to changing your own motor is that there's no way for an end-user to get rid of the nag warning message: "Motor Life Exceeded, please contact service provider". It also does not reset the run time of your device, which you can view by:1. Press both rectangular buttons at the same time2. scroll down to the wrench3. press the button and you should see the service menu4. View your "Run Hrs"Good luck!

Life saver!
I've used a ResMed Airsense 10 CPAP for nearly 10 years. I absolutely cannot sleep without it! So when mine started going out I panicked! The Dr's office couldn't get me in for 3 weeks!! Luckily I found this replacement motor. I ordered it and received it the next day. My husband switched out the parts with some help from a youtube video. Thankfully my CPAP is back to working beautifully! This was literally a life saver for me!

Failed after 5 months
Worked great initially where it was a replacement to a noisy motor. However, 5 months in it’s not making pressure.Manually turning this up fully it’s still not making enough pressure. Worst of all, I’m having a hard time getting any warranty help from anyone (seller or Amazon) so I’m stuck. This is cheaper than replacing the entire unit, but there is a risk where this won’t work for long.

Good cheap fix
Complicated replacement but has worked great.

Great fit
Was a great fit for my Resmed AirSense 10. The internals look a little different but it works great, much quieter than the worn out fan I was replacing. My only complaint was that I didn’t notice it was coming directly from China and delivery took a week longer than expected.

Easier to install than I thought!
I’ve been through the wringer twice since I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. Went to Heart specialist, sleep study at home with pulse ox, sleep study at the facility and then doctor follow up, then sleep study again with the cpap and then ordering the cpap and then going to pick it up and the cpap guy explains it all… and then I had to do it all over again just to find out I was the same setting pressure and can just purchase a cpap and I can manually set it and not go through all the appointments etc.Well now, my 2nd cpap has the motor life exceeded screen and I’ve been using it like that for 6 months because I am not insured, in between jobs and do not have enough money to buy a cpap out right for $1100.I purchased this for $125 ish and installed it right when I got it. Followed a video from a guy with an Australian accent. It was so easy! All you have to make sure to do is buy or borrow a hex screw driver T10 and you’re good to go. Nothing else needed but watching the YouTube video! So far, it’s working great! I hope this adds 7-8 years on my resmed 10. The old one was gross and dusty.I’ll update more after a week or so of using it!
