Gerber Gear Shard XL EDC Multi-tool 6-in-1 Keychain Multitool with Pry Bar, Wire Stripper and Bottle Opener, Stainless Steel

This is a handy tool to use when I might otherwise risk breaking a pocket knife to pry something apart. It seems to be well made and is basically unnoticeable clipped to my pocket next to a knife.

Solid. Strong. Has not let me down. Has cracked many cold ones in the mountains and will continue to be put to the test in the woods !

This tool is made very well but if you’re thinking of using it instead of a knife you may be disappointed. I sharpened one edge just a bit to be more useful. It will open packages now. I think it’s a great tool to carry so you aren’t prying on your pocket knives but it’s not a replacement for a pocket knife. Depending on how you look at it, it’s a nice addition or it’s one more thing to carry. I think you should definitely try it if you find yourself using your other everyday carry things as a pry tool.

Perfect size, heavy duty construction, the pocket clip is a very nice addition that most bars do not have!

This has been fantastic for my travels when flying. I’m not a big drinker, but it helps a lot with other things, just like a pocket knife would.

Simple, sturdy pry bar. I get a bit more use out of the NiteIze DoohicKey I keep on my keychain, because the best tool is always the one you have, but it's very sturdy, and has survived more than one run through the laundry.

Excelente herramienta. Un poco más grande de lo que pensaba pero nada exagerado. Cabe perfectamente en la palma de la mano. Buena herramienta, se nota de buena calidad y duradera. Definitivamente vale la pena por el precio.

商品名はShard XLですが、Chonkと同じものです。販売国で名前が異なっているようです。 また、商品説明で分かりづらい材質について補足すると、本体の材質はステンレス製、グリップ部分がアルミ製またはマイカルタ製です。 Chonkという名前の通り、ずんぐりとしたフォルムで分厚い鋼材。ちょっとやそっとではビクともしない堅牢さです。こういうのが欲しかった！ 頑丈さとトレードオフですが、やはり少々重たいでし、見た目もやや物騒です。 銃刀法的には問題ないはずですが、軽犯罪法的には微妙かも。余計な疑いをかけられないよう、普段はEDCポーチに入れて携帯するのが現実的かと思います。

Fantastic little tool. Way less unseemly than pulling out a pocket knife for tasks, and owning/using one is a great way to save your knife edge. The wire stripper is also great for most cutting tasks
