I first saw a vice similar to this on Instagram and knew I had to have one. The exact model I saw was around £40 which I refused to pay. As a last ditch effort I looked on Amazon and found this beauty for under £20, what a bargain! I’ve tried the usual desk vices before and they’ve been too cumbersome, never being able to get them in the right position, and the clamp to the desk always got in my way. This vice is a lovely weight (just under 0.8kg), which with its anti-slip base makes it great to use on a desk, but is also light enough to pick up when you need the model a little closer! The movable dog pins are very handy for the most awkward models, even allowing you to clamp inwards as well as outwards (like clamping to the chassis of my Toyota pickup). I usually skip leaving reviews but after using this and being delighted with it I had to put in a good word! Overall I think this is a great tool to add to your model making arsenal and I can’t wait to use it in all my future projects.

I repair and service mechanical watches as one of my many pastimes. This device is simply excellent at holding watch movements very securely and at a continuously adjustable angle for convenience of access. Many watch movements are not uniform in shape and are best held by a triangular arrangement of the pins which is easy to achieve with this work holder. The pins are hard steel so I slip a short length of neoprene tubing (sold by model shops as model engine fuel tubing) over each pin, which provides a soft surface to avoid marking the watch movements. Brilliant device, robust and nicely made so should last forever. Highly recommended.

Great little clamp for holding intricate and delicate parts. Wish it came with a few more pins though.

I wanted more adaptability so bought a set of 3 x 50 mm pins. These made what was already a good product great. It now holds those awkward models with much less aggravation.

A very versatile and useful tool. These are invaluable for precision painting, ultra delicate cleaning (watches& jewelery) and other precision and delicate manipulations. They are a model makers must have tool. Quality is very good and will last a lifetime. All metal construction so can be used as a soldering jig or stand. All in all a very good and worthwhile investment.

If you need a 'helping hand' like a modeller or jeweler perhaps, then this is an excellent place to start. Very well made with a robust heft about it and highly versitile. It can hold irregular shapes from about 4mm through to 130mm so pretty much anything you might need to lock in place whilst working on it. I've enclosed a few pictures so you can get some feel for the size. Made from steel so nice and heavy so unlikely to move around when using it. The machining is excellent with no sharp edges and a generally high class feel to it. Overall, an excellent helper if you have a hobby that deals with small objects.

Useful item in workshop

Hmmm, well it’s a solid quality widget and is going to help a lot with my fibromyalgia n hypermobility, when painting my WH40K miniatures. My only concern with it, is the leaning mechanism. It’s very hard to tighten it properly, to stop it moving. Think in time I’ll modify it. In the meantime I’ve sandwiched two pieces of thin card over the bearing bits. The clamp itself is top notch. It’s a reasonable price for what it is.

Las dimensiones que aparecen en las especificaciones de Amazon no son correctas. Ni siquiera en caso que fueran las dimensiones de la caja, que hace 140mm x 80mm (Comprobado)
