XDUOO TA-26s 6N5P 6N8P AMP High Performance Tube Line Out Pre-amp Gold-Plated RCA Headphone Amplifier

Using with Senn HD650. Very impressed. Opens up the soundstage a bit, adds a bit of warmth and low end, smooths out harsh tracks and parts of songs that get shouty and makes it easier on the ears. It makes music sound more natural. I like how it looks too and it seems quality. I've only for a few weeks now. I've only used the stock tubes and I have never tube rolled before, but these sound very good to me. Haven't tested with any other headphones. Way better than my previous amp. I'll change this if I run into any problems within the first year or something but I doubt that will happen.

I've been using the Little Dot Mk 2 for years so I'm very familiar with OTL full-tube headphone amplifiers. The Mk 2 is an excellent amp but this xDuoo TA-26s is a huge step up in audiophile quality. The sound stage has incredible spacial definition with remarkable clarity. It remains very neutral without any exaggerated tonality, just the music, just the way it was recorded and engineered. I'm running it with Sennheiser HD 560S headphones and it has plenty of power for any high-impedance headphones. Well worth the 2 week shipping time from China. Buy it.

Well made unit. Sounds great. You need a phono pre-amp if you are into vinyl. The seller was great to deal with, I had a ton of questions, they always responded quickly.

the amp xduoota26 that i returned. two days of playing this amp was very good. it had a beautyful sound and i loved it. the third day the left channel was gone. also it had a lot of distortion.this amp has a lot of problems . I returned the amp at once and had to wait over 3 weeks for credit. I don t blame amazon for this and will still purchase from amazon ,

I bought this amp hoping it would be an upgrade to my beloved Darkvoice 336SE, a very similar OTL tube amp that uses the same tubes.The Achilles heel of the darkvoice is that it tends to have a horrible hum with many preamp tubes due to the AC power supply to the preamp tube's heater, and the lack of twisted pair wiring.An OTL amp like this is a perfect match for high impedance dynamic headphones like the Sennheiser HD650 and 660S2.But, when thus item arrived, there is a terrible wall of distortion at all volume levels.I swapped the tubes with known good ones from my darkvoice amp, and it turns out the preamp tube that came with this amp was defective.With the known good tube swapped in, the massive wall of distortion was gone.However, the amp had minimal output levels, NOTHING like the darkvoice. And the bottom end would start to break up at relatively low volume on bass-heavy music.It had the wimpiness of the headphone output on a laptop. My little Dragonfly Red dongle drives the HD650 notably more powerfully than this amp did.I dont know if there was another internal defect in the amp beyond the bad preamp tube causing this lack of performance, or if this is just the way it is.Didn't want to go through the hassle of trying another one and maybe having to return it, so I'm just sending it back.It looks nice and seems to have solid build quality though.I will say I have had good luck with other XDuoo products- I own the XD-05 and XD-05 plus, and both are very good for what they are, especially the latter, and I've had them for years with no problems.

When I first received the unit 5 years ago I immediately replaced the tubes with western USA tubes I purchased from Tube World Express. No hum nothing, I did have a problem with hum prior to the purchase. What I was told to do by the electrician was run a wire from the screw in the center of the socket plate to a ground. Problem solved dead silent no hum. Alot of homes are not grounded correctly especially old homes they do not have 3 prong grounded sockets, Like the house I'm in It had a 3 prong socket but only 2 prong wiring in the walls.
