Easy beginner project
The kit came with all needed supplies, except a usb-c cord (which I knew). The soldering was easy for a beginner to complete, even though it didn’t have any directions. (This was a first soldering project for my 8 year old, and it was completed in about 20 minutes with support from an older sibling, who had soldered once before.) Good value, all parts present, and great teaching tool. Note: the light bulb has 1 long wire, the long wire goes through the hole marked with a dash on the circuit board. Otherwise, it’s a pretty easy to figure out project without instructions

Good practice but try at your own risk
It's good practice for soldering but after putting everything together, my kit doesn't work. Don't know how to get in contact with anyone. Update: The following day after submitting this review, the seller contacted me and was able to help me. Got a new one, did a clean soldering and made me feel accomplished

Kind of disappointed...
I was kind of excited to get this little gadget because I have always been fascinated by the fact that you can 'combine' red, green and blue light and end up with white light. I assembled the little gadget and plugged it in. The red and blue LED's work just fine, but the green LED does not light. Kind of a letdown. I realize that in electronics, there are the occasional defective component, so I don't hold any bad feelings toward the seller. I was actually pretty impressed by the overall quality of the PCB and the other parts. It is a well built little device. I just happened to get that one defective part... luck of the draw, I guess. Don't let this review keep you from buying one for yourself, like I said, I just happened to get the one with a defective part. I still want to see the thing work like it is supposed to, so I'm actually going to order another one! Have a great day y'all!

Defective unit
Received a defective unit. Disappointed there were not instructions included as I wanted to teach my kids the full importance of following the steps and inspecting their work but whatever I made due and typed some up.. we finish the soldering portion, plug in and..... nothing 😐 will increase rating if seller will replace unit

Didn’t work until I replaced the power supply
Like some of the others, I put everything together correctly but it didn’t work. Luckily I was able to see that the usbc pins had no voltage across them (maybe because usbc has a more complex power “handshake”). So I soldered on a 4.5v battery instead and it worked!

Great Practice Kit
Worked great! No instructions were included for assembly but it was straightforward enough with my limited experience. I got to practice soldering while also having fun creating a neat little gadget that can show a variety of colors!

A must have
This is a VERY simple build. All the resistors and diodes are already in the slide pots. I really love how you can make any color on the color wheel just by adding/removing color. All the color makes a white
