Bought this to force a regen on Citroen C4 Picasso 2009. On first use I asked it to autodetect the car and the DPF option didn't work. I then dug around and ran a report to find the model of DPF, then went back to manually select a C4 that had the near same DPF even though it wasn't a Picasso or same year. But it worked. Regen no problem. Just in case anyone else has this issue and sounds like these reviewers didn't dig deep enough and stuck with the auto detect mode. Otherwise thorough reporting and code clearing to boot. Recommended for the price. Plus their support via live chat is excellent. Immediate in fact.

Easy to use but dropped a couple of stars because the file export function only produces pdf summaries of number of faults per module, does not list the individual faults. What's the point? Edit: I was wrong, all the faults are listed, I just missed them. Back to 5 stars!

This code reader managed to reconfigure my TPMS ecu, other people had tried with their code readers, with no joy, on peugeot boxer forums, people had said this ecu was factory set and couldn't be changed, I managed it in around 7-8 minutes with this reader. Of course, there are lots of other great features, like be able to take a screen shots, what I found really useful was being able to do recordings, set it to record, put it on the passenger seat, quick drive, I was able to see exactly what my abs sensors where doing, found exactly the fault within minutes. Very easy to use, just contact it, update it an off you go, great value. If I damaged this, I would have no problem with buying another straight away.

doesnt find any faults on my bmw x3.when checked with a creator 110 glows plug faults and charge faults show.so a under £40 scanner does a better job than this more expensive one.so for me an expensive piece of junk

Review of MUCAR CS6 OBD2 Scanner, This item bought to diagnose six of the many ECU components on a vehicle (mine has 12 ECU in total), it will also reset seven individual settings out of many, CS6 has free lifetime updates via WiFi, can read and display OBD2 codes and can record and view live data as you drive, if your expecting all singing and dancing be prepared to spend ten times or more than the amount paid for the CS6. Before purchase one should visit the Mucar website to ascertain your vehicle can be diagnosed by this particular diagnostic model, this quite easy once you have negotiated where to start, place your vehicle details into the page and all available tests covered for your vehicle will be displayed and can be printed off or saved for perusal. This important as some diagnostic tests are peculiar to year of a particular make and model, other versions of the same vehicle may not be covered, don’t take anything for granted. Unfortunately car manufacturers have been making life difficult by introducing their own codes for diagnostic equipment so even if an OBD 2 code can be read, the code may vary for the same fault. However should your vehicle be on the CS6 Mucar list this scanner could be of use, that is if the fault is within the six ECU’s covered by this CS6 scanner, if not chose another model of scanner. To initialize one must connect to the internet to update all modules and operating software within the CS6 scanner, this important as some Mucar equipment may have been in storage for a long time, the one I received over twelve months old. The initial update can take some time but fortunately is mostly automated so can be left to run until finished. In use the CS6 took time to master as the instructions are not that clear and some test available are not even covered by the supplied manual, however after many hours of trial and error results were obtained including some never expected to be found. Be aware though, that while faults and codes can be obtained, the required remedy is not always forthcoming and reliance on other internet sources for information may need to be sort, do not expect an immediate resolution to a problem. The CS6 a diagnostic machine that may find your problem, that problem may then have to be rectified before any reset procedure can be used, it is not a miracle machine, just provides information for one to act on.

Used this for diagnosis of a fault that my cheaper obd scanner said was a egr fault. This scanner told me it was the heated flow sensor just after the dpf. Changed the sensor and all is now fault free.
