Makes short work of extremely thick brambles and nettles leaving a lovely clear area behind. A great bit of kit!
I have a large area of very thick brambles and nettles that is up to 6 feet tall and has been getting worse each year. I tried buying a scythe to deal with it, but unfortunately cutting the growth at the base does not achieve very much as the growth is all intertwined and the top just holds it all together. I saw a guy using this blade on YouTube and thought I would give it a try. What a wonderful piece of kit it is. Because the blade cuts both horizontally and vertically at the same time, the brambles are chopped into small pieces effectively mulching them and the ground is left flat and clear, no large lengths of sharp bramble to cut you to ribbons next time you walk through the area (see the video). The blade makes short work of very heavy growth and is very therapeutic to use. It is not easy work, but it is not hard work either. Because I have a bad back I go out for a couple of hours on days when the weather is ok and I have achieved a lot in a fairly short time. As well as tackling thick growth, the blade is also very effective at normal strimming tasks, so long as there are no surfaces to contact the blade. That being said, the blade is very strong and I have cut through saplings over an inch in diameter with it and contacted tree stumps and rocks. There are a few notches in the sharp edges of the blade, but it still tackles all tasks with ease. Eventually I will sharpen it. You need to wear glasses. Preferably safety glasses when using this blade as it can throw particles towards the user on occasion. I reckon good boots and gloves are needed too. It takes the strimmer a long time to wind down to a stop after you let go of the trigger due to the weight of the blade. It comes with an insert for machines with a narrower arbour and I found that it fitted both of mine (Honda and Ryobi) without the insert. There are two sizes 4mm and 3mm and this is the thickness of the steel the blade is made from. If you have a smaller engine select the 3mm if your engine is bigger, go for the 4mm. I think that Oregon are on to a winner with this blade. It is brilliant at clearing thick and difficult areas and leaving a lovely clean area when it is finished. If you have large areas of thick brambles and nettles, and are not sure how to deal with them, this blade will tackle them with ease. I am very impressed with how effective it is at dealing with the nightmare I have around the edges of my garden.

So much better than the brush cutter that came with the machine I've got
Safety First: If you use this blade you HAVE to remove the safety guard on the cutter head - all of it! If you are not comfortable doing that - don't get this item. I've got a Titan 4-1 25cc tool from Screwfix that’s about 3 years old now. It came with a 4 blade brush cutter that never seemed to cut anything. The blade never seemed to get into the brush. I've got a lot of brambles and reeds that the strimmer head just can't cope with and the brush cutter blade just ignored. I'd see a 4 mm thick 3 headed one of these but all the reviews mentioned how heavy it is and how you really needed a bigger machine to use it. I found on of these 2 bladed items that was only 3mm thick and so took the plunge on getting it to see if it works. The first thing to mention is that the old blade was about 2mm thick steel. This one at 3mm means that when the blade is put on the arbour the head no longer 'locks' to the fixing collar/nut. This means it could well come loose overtime after hitting lots of brambles - and occasionally the ground. There is a small notch in the mount of the blade which I used to put a pin/nail between the arbour and the blade to provide some shear pin protection should you hit something substantial - saying that the 25cc stalls out quite easy and so is unlikely to break anything else on the tool. This seems to provide enough of a key to stop the blade spinning free of the arbour as I've used it for an hour now in heavy brambles without any issues but obviously the nut is free to come undone - ensure you check that nut frequently as I can only imagine what would happen if it came off. I may at some time put some extensions into the locating pins on the fixing collar so they do reach and engage in the slots on the arbour. Speaking of use, it just obliterates the brambles and reeds. As long as you cut downwards, it mulches as it goes and leaves completely destroyed bramble system. Its so so so much better than the one that came with the tool and while it is heavier - so really needing to use the harness - the momentum it gains gives it a big advantage when cutting into the brambles. Also don't expect it to spin up right away - it takes a while to reach speed as its heavier. So I'd say if you have a 25cc petrol strimmer with a 25mm arbour that it will work with it and you'll be amazed by how good it is. There is a youtube review out there that someone posted showing it in use which swayed me to getting one of these. The final thing is that this blades diameter is much larger than the stock blade - this does mean you need to remove all guards on the cutter head - make sure you wear substantial footwear when using this blade unless you are happy to reduce your toe/foot count! Thoroughly recommend it.

OUTSTANDING PRODUCT
Outstanding product, I have bought a couple of these they are brilliant. They fit the machine i have really well the price is great value for money as they last a very long time with the right usage. They cut through brush upto 1.5 inch in diameter with ease. When in motion they are comfortable to hold the trimmer with no vibration. It does add some weight to the trimmer which is expected. 110% recommend product Well done Oregen

Best Blade Ever Used
I've used a medium/big 'strimmer', weed whacker, Brushcutter, whatever you want to call it for many years and always used a nylon cord, I once used a flay 3 point blade and they do what they do. I needed to trash down som rough stuff a month or two ago and I bought this 2 tooth blade. It absolutely screams through everything mulching it to nothing. It cuts everything to a million pieces and is a dream to use. Nothing comes flying back at me, it's brilliant. I've dumped my strimmer chords and all the other blades, it does everything and lasts forever. Stones and catching objects even brick walls is no problem to this blade, a few sparks that's it. I love tis blade because it does everything and is great to use, lasts for a long time. I've bought 2 spares in case they ever stop making them, I need this for the rest of my working life!

Wow!!!! this blade is lite and does the job great. Well worth the value when compared to the regular brush blades. The regular brush blade just cut things down, this one cuts and mulches it to pieces. Tears up dried up brush easily and great at cutting those low hanging branches then you just mulch them up. Fit my Stihl 56 weed eater perfect and does put off much torque when it's at full RPMs not like the brush disc blades do.
