Not that bad

Only use these occasionally so I bought cheap ones. For small circlip. They didnt fit. So bought some slightly better ones. Again didnt fit. So decided to get these I already new the name is good. These you can get in different size so got them and they fit perfectly and they hold on to the clip. You definitely get what you pay for.

This is a typical Knipex product - high quality, precise and does a good job.However one unexpected thing is that they feel slightly flimsy. I am reluctant to force them hard when opening snap clips for fear that the tips will shear off. Thus far they have remained intact but it does concern me and these were not cheap. Hence 4 rather than 5 stars.

Probably the best quality circle pliers I've ever had. not the cheapest but worth every penny.

Needed to remove an external circlip in a recess, bought knipex as they are always spot-on, guess what? I chose very wisely.

Really well made

Nice circlip pliers. Purchased when changing some door handles around, but proving very useful for other tasks since then. It's worth checking the Knipex website to make sure the tips will fit into the little holes on the circlips you need to work with if you're just buying one. I could have got a whole set of cheaper pliers to cover all eventualities for the same price as this single one, but these are well made, consistent, and look like they should last a long time. So I'm happy with this purchase.

Paid the extra for decent quality, I thought. Mechanically these operate flawlessly. The ends, however, only survived 4 circlips before one broke, rendering the pliers unusable. I did try nipping up the unbroken side to even things up but it made them too short and they slipped out of the holes. I may as well replace them with some cheap Chinese ones that I know will need to be replaced every few weeks.
