Robust and reliable
Replaced an old qualcast machine. Great to have a machine that starts reliably (if you follow the explicit instructions) and is powerful enough for tough brush. Very pleased

2 month review
After reading loads of reviews, I was unsure what to expect. However, it’s a great strimmer. I live in the middle of nowhere and electric strimmer’s are a pain. Not only do I have a large garden but the surrounding area is left to do it’s own thing, I’d had enough at looking at long weeds and brambles so I thought I’d give it a go.Assembly was easy.People seem to struggle starting it and there is a little knack to it but if you following the manual it works fine. I find it floods really easily but if you’re aware of this you don’t make that mistake. Set the trigger lock on, prime it, 5 pulls with the choke on (from cold) no more, turn the choke off and give it a few more pulls. Never had an issue after the very first time when I flooded it.The brush cutter works. I cleared a lot of large brambles and weeds from the area surrounding my garden. The strimmer head is easy to change and after I’d cleared the big stuff away, I’ve only used the strimmer head.It is a thirsty machine, but I’ve found if I only half pull the trigger there’s plenty of power to cut grass and it saves a load of fuel. Yes you can adjust the running speed but I have it set so the idol runs correctly. The harness is actually really handy. I didn’t think I’d use it much but it makes handing it a breeze. A lot less back pain than bending over with an electric strimmer.I’ve had this now for 2 month and I use it weekly for around an hour continuously, I have a large area to clear. I’ve had no issues with it so far. Some people have commented it’s unsuitable for professional gardeners, I can’t comment on that, but for a regular people it does fine.Value for money, I’m tight and wanted a decent strimmer for a low price. Cheapest strimmer I could find for the engine size.My only regret is that I wished I’d have bought one sooner.

Mid tier equipment. Good for Price
This product is GOOD for the price mark bordering on GREAT. I’d give 4.5/5 if there were the option. For the value it’s a good solid product. I’ll try and break this down with detail. It’s fairly easy with good instructions to put together ready for use.Pros that really make this product good value for money are:The engine, the harness system, the stock cutting line, the engine pull start. The industriousness (it’s great when used for what it’s intended for, for long periods and it’s powerful), the trigger system and the handlebars. It also looks professionalCons that go against this product:The choke system, the stock (where the line is held), the bump stock, the bladeThere’s no doubt that ParkerBrand are heavily inspired by industry leaders STIHL. I see this as a very good thing and so they should. In order to compete with the monopoly brand they mimic but make affordable great products for those who want an industrial machine without having to take out a mortgage for it. It’s a brand I admire and I have many of their products but I will focus on this one.Engine is great for the price range. Powerful and easy to drain. Easy to change spark plugs. As a brush and long grass strimmer it is brilliant it’s got great power and IF the trigger is not used on full blast it’s got a reasonable fuel economy.Fuelling is okay. The fuel cap is awkward to fill from. I hate mixing and filling fuel anyway but that is not the fault of the brand but mine.I could not start the machine on first use and I have a lot of experience with petrol garden tools. I did eventually get going when I realised the choke wasn’t working properly at all so I was able to start it on a sweet spot. If at any point I changed the choke it would cut out which lead to quick overheating.I put this all to one side because in use it was great for the overgrown garden work I do. The stock line is fairly strong and durable. The bump start DOES NOT work on this machine. As mentioned I’m experienced with bump stocks on strimmers and neither me nor my experienced colleagues could get this to work. This meant to manual line changes which is annoying especially on a bump start rather than a single line feed. The blade head is fairly good and does what it is meant too it’s is not durable in the sense that if you hit something hard like a tree stump or some stone etc. it will bend and blunt very very quickly. Hitting unseen things is inevitable in my kind of work and the blade isn’t build to last. After a few work days of use it was bent all out of shape and extremely blunt. If used in areas with good visibility functionally it is good but not brilliant. I found the line to be able to cut as much if not more than the blade therefore rendering it pretty useless. I do find these blade attachments slightly pointless and gimmicky in the first place but I’ve put that aside for the review. It’s got a reasonably good harness it’s fairly comfortable. Loading the machine on and off the harness is a real farce and with a heavy machine it’s even more annoying. The safety pull feature is great. So the harness and the clasp are both good and bad. Again I think for the price it’s actually very good. The machine is very HEAVY in comparison to similar sized machines. I wouldn’t say it’s too heavy it’s still comfortable to use on the harness. If you aren’t good with weight or have poor mobility or back problems, I doubt you could use the machine for long periods of time (more than 10/15 minutes). However I don’t think that goes against the product because if you have those issues you don’t want an industrial petrol strimmer. The handles are great and the trigger is great. this handle design is very standard in 2023 but they do it well.I did a lot of research on this product before buying it and ParkerBrand are very proud of their nut/bolt/plate locking systems. I’m sure theres a better name they use for it but the way the heads (stock and blade) are changed and attached to the machine is absolutely brilliant. This is what I would say Parker do best. If you want to change back and forth between blade and spool with some practice it’s very easy to do so and they provide all the tools needed to do this in a little tool case which is also brilliant.Lastly, Parker provide a tool case as mentioned above which zips where you can keep all the small tools needed to alter the machine when on jobs. This is absolutely brilliant. You just bring the case along and you can change the head in 30 seconds or make adjustments to the handles etc.A few extra bits if you’re somehow still reading. The handles and the piece that locks them to the frame kept coming lose on my machine which was really annoying even when they were tightened to full.

Well made and well designed Strimmer.
Often in life you'll find that the devil is in the details and having owned 3 budget level petrol strimmers from different companies in the past it's the little things about this strimmer I've been most impressed with. Sure it does all the main things you'd expect from a petrol strimmer well but the failiure points of machines I've had in the past are all addressed with this unit from a design level with a very decent build quality for the price point. I followed the starting proceedure and it fired up first time without issue and I've used it for about 2 hours with the harness provided without any fatigue. The strimmer line head is substatial not like the cheap ones you normally get. The guard is rock solid and on/off rocker switch a very nice touch. If your looking for a descent strimmer and like me can't justify the outlaw for a Stihl this is an excellent option, highly recomended.
