Fire Lighting Cradle for Starting a Fire in a Wood Burning Stove with Wood Pellets Generation 4.0

Works very well. Much cleaner than using newspaper and kindling. We already have pellets for our boiler so make sense for us - not sure I’d bother with this if I didn’t already have easy access to pellets. Simple to start. Finding a supply for the lighting gel can be difficult. I buy in bulk when I find it for a good price. Had ours for two years and it hasn’t warped or changed shape. So good we brought a second. For our other log burner. Hope that helps.

Excellent product. Just fill with wood pellet cat litter and logs, light a firelighter and thats all you do. It never fails to work. It is also good for stacking and lighting kindling instead of building a cradle around an ignition source

It is just too tall for starting the fire perfectly. Half the height would be perfect. I am taking a grinder to mine. The issue is the pellets ideally touching the wood/logs. You need a lot of pellets for that and they just are not necessary. Still, I have now bought a second because it saves finding kindling and one only lit one side of my stove

So simple to get the fire on my chimenia going now works every time.a 30l bag of wooden cat litter for about a tenner ,a squirt of fire lighting gel about £5 and your pretty much good for the year.excellent product.

Great product, logs light instantly, with wood pelletts, much more economical that wood kindling sticks. Only small downside is buying pellets in small quantaties, most companies sell them in bulk, but wood based cat litter is the same product, so have been using them.

This is just ok , a lot smaller in size than I thought it would be. Pricey for what it does, though it has not deformed to date.

Makes getting the fire going quick and easy, thank goodness.

I tried this in my very large stove and it was not a success. It is a well made item but does not generate enough heat to do anything dynamic. I still used kindling and found that having it in the stove resulted in clogged air flow when the fire was going. It was a bit messy to have to remove it to clean out the stove too.

Esta cesta es interesante por su tamaño. Cabe en estufas de leña relativamente estrechas y se puede sacar por la abertura lateral de las estufas siempre que ésta tenga un ancho de alrededor de 20 cm. Esto permitirá sacar la cesta metálica fuera de la estufa, una vez el fuego ya está bien encendido en el interior de la misma, acción que contribuye a una larga duración de la cesta. La utilizamos únicamente para depòsitar 3 ó 4 puñados de pellets de madera de pino, con un poco de gel de encendido ( por ejemplo gel Fuegonet marrón tipo 231448). Esta mezcla se enciende de forma muy fácil y sin ningún tipo de sobresaltos. Una vez los pellets empiezan a arder, ya se puede empezar a colocar leña más grande (también embadurnada con un poco de gel) encima de la cesta. El fuego empieza entonces a prender también en la leña, con lo cual acaba quemando toda la leña que se añada (que debe ser lógicamente cuanto más seca mejor). Una vez la combustión de la leña grande es buena y ya se ha generalizado, esperar a que ésta se queme un poco para facilitar la extracción de la cesta, operación que hay que realizar con sumo cuidado, pues es posible que salga a elevada temperatura ,o incluso al rojo vivo. ¡Dejar enfriar la cesta en un sitio seguro, fuera del alcance de las personas! Método fácil y seguro para encendido de estufas de leña a partir de reducidas cantidades de pellets.

Après 3 ans d'utilisation, le panier est un peu déformé mais fonctionne toujours aussi bien ! Il suffit de remplir avec des pellets et d'y enterrer un cube allume feu puis de mettre du bois par dessus. Le petit bois devient inutile pour l'allumage du feu et c'est vraiment plus simple a l'usage. Plus besoin de couper du petit bois avec la hachette pour l'allumage, j'en utilise quand même pour relancer par moment.

Eccezionale. Si riempie di pellet e si mette sotto il braciere brucialegna con sopra un paio di ceppi. Il gioco è fatto. In pochi minuti il camino parte alla grandissima. Straconsigliato!
