Vater Drumsticks VH5AN - Los Angeles 5A - American Hickory Series - Oval Nylon Tip

Feel and sound ok. Would I buy again? Possibly, but do like the ProMark Firegrain ones (at the moment). But would be more than happy to use these!

I've used pretty much every brand possible whilst drumming for the last 18 years but Vater 5As have surpassed everything. They taper later than other brands so the tip of the stick is much stronger. The Nylon tips are sturdy; they don't flake, crack or detach themselves. Even the shaft of the stick is stronger; I have a pair that are frayed around the point the stick hits the snare rim for rimshots and they've been going strong for rehearsals for 9 months!

I've used Vater sticks for about 10 years. Always top notch quality.

In my point of view I think the are overall the best to use on a e-kit. I play music and games with my e-kit. I wouldn't say I'm a expert, I'm actually maybe just a novice in real music but I do play expert on games. So far the weight, feel and quality is 10/10. Has a great bounce, no reverbe. Is heavy enough to do most of the work but not too heavy to switch pads. I figured it would just be good for roll ons but no I like it all around, and I've tried over 20 different ones. If I want actually trying to try most sets, I'd stop right here. Do recommend. Worth the cost, I'd pay more even.
