Works great but doesn't fit
This is a great product and a wonderful add-on for my pack. It is unfortunate that I missed how small my binoculars had to be in order to fit. If you have large optics you will want to buy something that will fit. The way in which this works is worth a 2nd set of eyes.

Should work well... I think
Pros: - Fits my compact Vortex Vanquish bino's pretty well. - connect to the little bear companion pack nicely, reducing the number of things I have to have strapped to myself Cons: - Glad I don't have a bigger set of binos, else I think it would be VERY tight. - lacks a set of bino straps to keep the binos connected to the case and to allow you to drop your binos if needed without having to re-case them. Many similar bino packs have these, so not sure why ALPS would have neglected that. - magnetic closure, while adequate, could be a little stronger.

Quiet, wish it were an inch deeper.
I like the brushed finish and magnetic top. It keeps the case quiet so you don't scare off wildlife. The width and depth are perfect, but the height is just a bit short for my Nikon Monarch 5 Bino's. Materials and construction seem to be of good quality. I haven't yet decided to keep these or not. Also, they work great with the companion Alpz pack, a bit more difficult to the Alpz Predator pack, but if I keep them, I'll find a way. Alpz might want to look into Molle attachments so these can be used on a variety of packs. If you have slightly shorter Bino's and the companion Alpz pack, I'd say 5 Stars, otherwise 4.

great product
This bino harness fits with my alps pathfinder pack. I have a pair of 10x42 binos and they fit very well. They have a magnet type of closure which closes tightly. Sure beats all those $99 dollar bino harness from other companies.

Good price, missing several key features.
So I got the Big Bear hunting day pack from Alps. I got this because I liked that I didnt have to wear a totally seperate harness to carry my binos. I have some Leupold McKenzies in 10*42. I love the magnet. It is convient to just pull down and stay closed. As well as for quick opening. I also love the price. The issues I have were really three things. 1. My binos have a hard time fitting, and they are some of the smaller ones in the Leupold line. I have to pull the cover down hard for the magnets to catch. 2. You can ONLY use the case with the big bear pack. I would have paid alot more money if I could have used it with or with out the pack. 3.Most other harness's that I have owned, Tenzing, Vortex, Badlands, all have a strap that connests from the harness to the binos directly. So If you have to drop the binos for whatever reason, you can. In other words you dont have to put them back in the harness to move. With this one, it does not have straps. So I must put it back in the case every time. Not a deal breaker, just not convient. I love the Price, and I love the idea that it connects to my current pack.It works for now, but I hope that Alps makes a few tweaks. Even if it means I pay more.

I really like the idea that I can take this case off ...
I really like the idea that I can take this case off if not needed. I have only had this for about 2 weeks but hunting in the woods of Colorado will test any gear. Hooked right up to the ALPS Pathfinder with no problems. It is Kinda hard to Archery hunt with it just because of the draw back on the bow. Still Love it good Job ALPS.

dumb in every way
Too small for a common 10x 42 binoculars, so that's a stopper right there. Then, I saw in the photos that it hangs low, but was hoping I could adjust it higher than the pictures. Nope. It's too low. The upper attachment points are the problem, they need to be near your shoulder, but instead, they are below the breast line. This means two things. First, is it pulls sideways and torques the shoulder strap so the inner edge of the strap cuts into your body. Second, the bino pouch falls away from the chest no matter how much you tighten them. Dumb design. Before I bought it, I had already realized the attachment points were wrong, but for so cheap, I figured it would be worth it to buy them and then try to modify the attachment points to higher on the shoulder strap by the D rings. However, when I realized these can only fit very small binoculars, I realized it's not even worth it, so they are going back. I'm glad I bought them through Amazon to make the return easy. I think I will try to use my Pathifinder mostly as a fanny pack and use my Kuiu bino harness, as I don't want to have multiple pairs of shoulder straps on. I might actually try to add male connectors on my Kuiu and connect to the female connectors on the Pathfinder shoulder. Save your money and time, don't bother with these clip in accessory bino pockets.

Can't say enough good about alps outdoorz products, can't beat the price or quality and same goes for this binocular case. I just wanted to know if my binos would fit in a review so for reference I have Vortex diamondback 10x42 2015 models they stand 5 7/8" and fit as snug as I would want for this case. Had to take all the rubber protective eye pieces off the binos otherwise they were tough to pull out of the case, and protective pieces would get pulled off by snug fit, but now there off binos fit perfect and go in and out with ease. The case is well padded and protects them well, upfront easy to get at, love the magnets to close it and waking through west coast wet mountain bush kept binos dry and ready for those slashes. Would definitely buy again but feel I'll never have to.
