Easy to use and get a good sampling. Petri dish was reactive and sending the test off for results was easy!

This was a waste of time and money, I’m so upset I even got this. It did nothing even tho I have mold in my home because I had mold testing done already. I just wanted my own testing because my rental company is denying me my mold report that they did on my home.

There were several different methods of testing such as leaving it out to test the air, putting by a vent, swabbing surfaces, etc. we chose to leave it out in the open in different rooms where we had visible water damage or mildew/mold, since our symptoms are respiratory ones. One caveat is that they say they require you buy/submit a second outdoor test as well to use as a baseline (I guess if your indoor mold is the same as your outdoor mold then you don’t really have an issue with your home). But we opted to just send in our indoor test alone since I really just wanted to see if there was a presence of black mold, and if came back positive we would hire a company for a more thorough professional assessment. We had an issue where our kit did not include the return mailer that was supposed to be included (free return shipping). I emailed them and they sent me a prepaid label to print out. After about a week I received confirmation of receipt, and then a few days later they emailed results (photo attached). It provided a little peace of mind knowing we have common allergens but probably not toxic mold. Hopefully it’s actually accurate.

We ordered this kit and did the test exactly as specified and sent it off for evaluation. Only problem is it reported that you have mold, but not how much. Turns out that it matters "how much" because there are mold spores literally everywhere and without a quantified level the presence of most molds is useless. It's like saying "yes there's pollen outside", but it matters how much. This kit's lab results just list the species of mold with an "x" next to it, and no quantified measurements.
